Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-LF101A-KIT is a complete data logging system designed to accurately measure and record leaf wetness. The sensor responds to environments like a real leaf, recording the presence of water and the amount of water on the surface, with the capability to detect ice. Documented applications include plant disease forecasting, irrigation studies, and monitoring frost cycles.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The system operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) and a humidity rating of 0 to 100% RH non-condensing. The leaf wetness sensor provides typical output values of 266 mV for dry conditions and 833 mV for 100% saturated conditions, with an accuracy of ±0.1 mV and a resolution of 50 μV. Response time is specified at 10 ms.

The data logger features non-volatile solid-state memory capable of storing up to 1 million readings, ensuring data security even if the battery becomes discharged. The device includes an optional password protection feature and programmable alarms.
