The Omega I-7513 Series is a 3-channel RS-485 Active Star Wiring Hub designed for industrial communication networks. It functions as both a hub and repeater, enabling the connection of multiple devices to an RS-485 network while maintaining signal integrity over extended distances.

Key application capabilities include:

• Extending RS-485 transmission signals up to 1,200 m (at 9.6 kbps) or 400 m (at 115.2 kbps).
• Supporting star-wiring topologies with three independent output channels.
• Cascading configurations where each output channel can connect to another hub via its repeater function.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The I-7513 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C ~ +75 °C and a storage temperature range of -30 °C ~ +75 °C. It is rated for humidity levels between 10 ~ 90% RH, non-condensing.

Performance specifications include:

• Baud Rate Support: Auto-switching from 300 to 115200 bps via an internal Self-Tuner ASIC.
• Isolation: Three-way isolation rated at 3000 VDC between input and output interfaces.
• Device Capacity: Supports up to 256 devices per channel (total of three channels).
• Cabling Recommendation: Belden 8941 (2P twisted-pair cable) for optimal transmission distance; distances may vary with different cables.

Configuration Options

Electrical Connections

The device utilizes two removable 10-Pin Terminal Blocks, providing a total of 20 terminals with the following pin assignments:

• Input Channel: Terminals 01 (DATA+), 02 (DATA-).
• Power Input: Terminal 09 ((R)+Vs) and Terminal 10 ((B)GND).
• Output Channels:
  • Data Channel 3: Terminals 11 (DATA3-) and 12 (DATA3+).
  • Data Channel 2: Terminals 14 (DATA2-) and 15 (DATA2+).
  • Data Channel 1: Terminals 19 (DATA1-) and 20 (DATA1+).

• I-7513-G CR: Three Way Isolated RS-485 Active Star Wiring Hub with Gray Cover (RoHS).

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between the I-7513 Series models is the enclosure color. The standard model, I-7513 CR, features a default housing finish, while the I-7513-G CR variant includes a gray cover. Both variants share identical electrical specifications, isolation ratings (3000 VDC), and communication capabilities.

The series is designed specifically as an RS-485 Star Wiring Hub; it does not function as a sensor or measurement device for physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, or flow.
