Supported Applications
The Omega LVCN4000 Series consists of conductive level controllers designed to control the level of all conductive media. The series is engineered for applications requiring up to two points of level control, utilizing electrodes that operate on alternating current to prevent electrolysis. These units are suitable for use with a metallic tank wall serving as a reference electrode or an additional rod in non-metallic tanks.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The LVCN4000 Series operates within specific temperature and pressure envelopes depending on the probe coating material. The 316 SS wetted parts support a process temperature range of -10 to 82°C (-14 to 180°F), while ETFE-coated probes extend this capability to -10 to 120°C (-14 to 248°F). Rods must be coated when using the probes above 82°C (180°F).
Performance specifications include a maximum pressure rating of 290 psi (20 bar) and a nominal time delay range of 0.1 to 5 seconds. The series features an output signal of 5 A SPDT relay rated for 250 Vac maximum, powered by a 24 Vdc (±10%) supply with a current consumption of Maximum 2 VA.

Configuration Options
The series offers extensive configuration options to accommodate specific installation requirements. The LVCN4000 Series includes the LVCN4100 models for single-rod, one-point level control and the LVCN4200 models which can accommodate up to two rods for controlling two independent levels.
Process Connections
The series supports various process connections including threaded options (½, ¾, 1, 1½ NPT; ¾" BSP thread; 1" BSP thread), sanitary Tri-Grip™ (Tri-Clamp® compatible) fittings, and flange configurations. Custom conductive level controllers are available with selectable rod lengths up to a maximum of 96 inches.
Housing & Electrical
Enclosures are offered in glass-filled nylon standard or aluminum die cast optional. Both housing types feature electrical connections via cable entry and ½ NPT conduit. The probe diameter is standardized at ¼" (6.35 mm) with an overall length of approximately 88.9 mm (3⅜ in).

Key Product Differences
The LVCN4000 Series is differentiated by the number of control points and rod configurations. The LVCN41(A)(B)-(C) model series represents custom conductive level controllers with a single rod, allowing selection of process connection (A), enclosure type (B), and rod length in inches (C). Conversely, the LVCN42(A)(B)-(C) model series denotes dual-rod configurations for two-point control.
Variants also differ by coating material; standard 316 SS probes are limited to lower temperatures compared to ETFE-coated variants. Specific ordering examples include the LVCN4121-48-ETFE (single rod, ¼ NPT, 48" length) and the LVCN4231-36-48-ETFE (dual rod with lengths of 36" and 48").
