Supported Applications

The Omega DPF60 Series comprises microprocessor-based digital rate indicators and integrating totalizers designed for voltage and current inputs. These units measure rate and total in a single enclosure, supporting front-panel programming and scaling. The series includes the DPF64 (ratemeter), DPF65 (batch controller with prewarn and preset relays), and DPF66 (combination ratemeter and batch controller). An optional square root extraction input is available for use with differential pressure flowmeters.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series accepts analog signal inputs including 0 to 20 mA, 4-20 mA, 0 to 5 V, and 0 to 10 V. Accuracy is specified as ±0.15% FS for rate and total in the primary data sheet; a secondary manual lists worst-case errors of 0.1% FS (4-20 mA), 0.2% FS (0-10 VDC), and 0.25% FS (0-5 VDC or 1-5 VDC). The display provides 6 digits for total flow with a floating decimal point, while the rate function displays up to 5 digits.

Operating ambient temperature ranges from 41°F (5°C) to 129°F (54°C), and storage temperatures are rated from -40°F (-40°C) to 199°F (93°C). The unit features a front panel protection rating of NEMA 4X (IP66). Non-volatile RAM retains scale settings, presets, output status, and total flow for up to 1 year without power. A regulated power output is provided at ±5% 24 VDC @ 50 mA.

Model Functions

• DPF64: Ratemeter with two separate 5 A SPDT alarms.
• DPF65: Batch controller featuring prewarn and preset capabilities using 5 A SPDT relays.
• DPF66: Combination ratemeter and batch controller; allows toggling between rate of flow and total flow from the front panel, with two separate 5 A SPDT relays for rate alarm or batching.

The primary distinction within the series lies in the functional mode: DPF64 models display rate only; DPF65 models function as batch controllers displaying total flow with prewarn/preset logic; and DPF66 models combine both functions, allowing front-panel toggling between rate and total. All three base models include two 5 A SPDT relays configured according to their specific mode (alarms for DPF64/DPF66, batch control for DPF65).

Power supply variations are indicated by the "-220VAC" suffix in part numbers, corresponding to the optional 187 to 253 VAC input range. The standard power configuration supports 94 to 126 VAC or 12 to 24 VDC.
