Supported Applications

The Omega Accessories for Miniature Size Thermocouple Connectors series provides hardware components designed to support, secure, and protect miniature connector installations. These accessories are compatible with a range of Omega miniature connectors including SMPW, HMPW, GMP, HGMP, NMP, SHX-MF, FMP, HFMP, MTP, OSTW male or female, and others.

Documented accessory functions include:

• Cable management via Wire Caddy (Spool Cap) and Dual Element Tube Clamp
• Mechanical strain relief using Miniature Strain Relief Tubing and Cable Clamps
• Connector protection with Rubber Boots, Safety Clips, and Ferrite Cable Clamps
• Panel integration via Panel Mounting Brackets (Standard and Round Hole styles)
• Cable entry adaptation through Wire Hole Reducers, Crimp Style Bushings, and Clamp Grommets

Operating Conditions & Performance

This series consists of mechanical accessories rather than active sensing elements; therefore, measurement ranges, accuracy classes, response times, and electrical output specifications are not applicable. Material-specific temperature limits apply to certain components:

• Rubber Boots: Model MRB (Buna-N) is rated to 200°; Model MRBS (Silicone) is rated to 450°.

Miniature Strain Relief Tubing is constructed from Silicone. Ferrite Cable Clamps are specified as 300 series stainless steel. Crimp Style Bushings and Clamp Grommets offer specific dimensional parameters for probe diameters ranging from 0.56 mm (0.022") to 4.72 mm (0.186"), depending on the model configuration.

The series supports a broad envelope of configurable options tailored to specific connector types, cable diameters, and installation requirements. Key variant categories include:

Cable Management & Strain Relief

• Wire Caddy (Spool Cap): Models SMP-SC (pkg of 5) and SWHCL (pkg of 20), compatible with SMPW and HMPW connectors.
• Dual Element Tube Clamp: Model DX-BRLK-(*)-SMP for SMPW and HMPW; insert probe diameter options include "116" for ⅛" or "18" for ¼".
• Ferrite Cable Clamps (300 series stainless steel): Models PCLM-SMP-FT and PCLM-SMP-RSC-FT support SMPW, GMP, HGMP, HMPW, and MTP connectors.
• Cable Clamps: Multiple models including PCLM-SMP (for <0.8" OD), PCLM-SMP-RSC (1/8" OD and above), PCLM-GMP, PCLM-NMP, and PCLM-SHX.
• Miniature Strain Relief Tubing: Silicone tubing models MSRT-116-(*), MSRT-332-(*), and MSRT-532-10. Center numbers denote inside diameter: "316" for ⅛", "332" for ⅜", "532" for ⅝".

Protection & Mounting Hardware

• Rubber Boots: MRB (Buna-N, black) and MRBS (Silicone, grey), compatible with SMPW and HMPW.
• Safety Clips: Models SMCL for SMPW/GMP/HMPW/HGMP; FMCL for FMP/FMPW/HFMP/HFMPW.
• Panel Mounting Brackets: Standard style (SMACL, MACL) with 0.88" "A" dimension; Round hole style (SRMACL, RMAACL) with 0.67" "A" dimension.

Cable Entry & Adaptation

• Wire Hole Reducers: Models RB-SMP-100 (2.54/0.100" Dia.) and RB-SMP-140 (3.55/0.140" Dia.) for SMPW connectors.
• Crimp Style Bushings: Configurable with brass or stainless steel; probe diameter options range from 0.56 mm to 4.72 mm. Requires crimping tool BB-SMT-CT.
• Clamp Grommets (Silicone, 0.25" long): Models SSRT-CC-018-(*) through SSRT-CC-132-(*) for OSTW male or female connectors; inside diameters range from 0.79 mm to 3.18 mm.

Variations within the series are defined by connector compatibility, material composition, and dimensional specifications:

• Rubber Boots: Distinguished by material (Buna-N vs. Silicone) and corresponding temperature ratings (200° vs. 450°).
• Cable Clamps: Differentiated by compatible connector series (e.g., SMPW/HMPW vs. GMP/HGMP vs. NMP/SHX-MF) and cable outer diameter thresholds (<0.8" OD vs. 1/8" OD and above).
• Panel Mounting Brackets: Offered in Standard (0.88") or Round Hole (0.67") styles, with specific model numbers assigned to connector families.
