Supported Applications

The OM-DVCV is a self-contained, precision instrument for recording AC current and AC voltage. It measures true RMS AC current and voltage, which makes it suited to monitoring and logging electrical loads and power over time in field and facility settings.

Because the device measures true RMS up to the 21st harmonic at 60 Hz, it is appropriate for capturing distorted, non-sinusoidal waveforms where simpler meters would misread. Its on-board display shows real-time current, voltage, and power (in Watts) readings along with a graphical trend display and scrolling, supporting hands-on troubleshooting as well as unattended data logging of AC electrical signals.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The logger measures current over a range of 1 to 300 Aac and voltage over a range of 1 to 600 Vac, using true RMS measurement up to the 21st harmonic at 60 Hz.

Sampling interval: User selectable from 1 second to 9 hours, in 1 second increments.

Data is transferred through a USB port. Recording can start on button press, immediately after set-up, or at a user specified date and time, and recording stops on memory full or continues with memory rollover. Logged data is exportable to text or Excel files in US and Metric units, and no user calibration is available. The logger weighs 200 g (7.0 oz) and measures 10.2 W x 7.7 H x 3.8 cm D (4 x 3.05 x 1.5").

Configuration Options

The series is offered as a single configuration, the OM-DVCV AC current and voltage data logger with display. It combines true RMS current and voltage measurement with a display for real-time current, voltage, and power (in Watts) readings, plus graphical trend display and scrolling. Logger channels are user selectable, and disabling channels increases the storage capacity of the other channels.
