Supported Applications

The Omega CL541-PLUS is an automated thermocouple calibrator designed for checking, calibrating, and measuring thermocouple instruments and sensors. The device supports compatibility with all process instruments, including smart transmitters, PLCs, DCS, and multichannel recorders.

Engineers use the CL541-PLUS to measure thermocouple sensors in order to troubleshoot connections and detect broken wires or high resistance junctions.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports measurement of Type J, K, T, E thermocouples and millivolts (mV). Output signals are available in °C, °F, and millivolts. The display resolution is 0.1°.

Power is supplied by four 'AA' 1.5V batteries; alkaline batteries are recommended for maximum battery life and performance. Removing the batteries resets values to factory defaults. The unit features a rugged rubber boot housing and includes a backlit display for operation in dark areas.

Configuration Options

The CL541-PLUS series offers configurable output stepping via an adjustable digital potentiometer ('DIAL') for precise temperature setting. Automatic output stepping is available in various increments, with configuration options including step time and auto-off settings accessible through the menu.
