Supported Applications

The Omega LC305 series comprises heavy-duty miniature compression load cells with a 51 mm (2") diameter and low profile design. These sensors are engineered for test benches, prototype structures, and industrial weighing applications where space constraints require compact instrumentation.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LC305 series operates within an ambient temperature range of 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F) and a process temperature range of -46 to 107°C (-50 to 225°F). Constructed from stainless steel, the load cells feature an IP65 enclosure rating. Performance specifications include an accuracy class of ±0.15% FSO, repeatability of ±0.05% FSO, and hysteresis values of <20k lbs: ±0.10% FSO or >20k lbs: ±0.15% FSO.

Electrical characteristics include an excitation voltage requirement of 10 Vdc with a maximum of 15 Vdc, and an output signal of 2 mV/V (±1%). Input resistance is specified at 360 Ω minimum, while output resistance is 350 Ω ±10 Ω. All models are supplied complete with 5-point NIST-traceable calibration data.

Configuration Options

The series offers a broad measurement envelope covering capacities from 0-25 lb to 0-20,000 lb (Standard) and 0-100 to 50,000 N (Metric). Two primary connection styles are available:

• Cable Style (LC305/LCM305): Equipped with a standard 3 m (10') 4-conductor, color-coded, shielded PVC cable.
• Connector Style (LC315/LCM315): Features a twist-lock connector interface. The mating connector PT06F10-6S is sold separately; the CA-4PC24-2-015 cable assembly with twist-lock connector is also available as an accessory.

The physical design includes 8 mounting holes equally spaced on a pitch circle, with a mounting hole diameter of 42.8 mm (1.687") and a spherical radius of 10.9 mm (0.43"). The overall height is 25.4 mm (1.00").

Key Product Differences

The LC305 series distinguishes between Standard models using pound capacities and Metric models using Newton capacities, with specific model numbering conventions for each style:

• Standard Models (LC305/LC315): Capacities range from 25 lb to 20,000 lb. Model examples include LC305-25 through LC305-20K and their connector equivalents.
• Metric Models (LCM305/LCM315): Capacities range from 100 N to 50,000 N. Model examples include LCM305-100N through LCM305-50KN and their connector equivalents.
• Note on LC315-20K: This specific model requires a 4-digit meter for operation.

The series supports RoHS compliance. Wiring codes are defined as GN (A) +Output, WT (B) -Output, BK (C) +Input, RED (D) -Input, with E and F terminals marked N/C in the text description despite diagram labeling discrepancies.
