The Omega HHC200 Series comprises rugged handheld environmental meters designed for field engineering and temperature measurement. The series identity centers on the HHC201 Thermometer, a digital instrument configured for use with K-type thermocouples to measure process temperatures in industrial settings.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The HHC201 model operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F) at less than 70% R.H. For storage, the device supports -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) with a humidity limit of 0 to 80% R.H., provided batteries are removed.

Measurement performance for K-type thermocouples is defined by specific accuracy classes across temperature ranges:

• -60°C to 1372°C (-76°F to 2501°F): ±(0.1%rdg+1°C) or ±(0.1%rdg+2°F)
• -200°C to -60°C: ±(0.1%rdg+2°C) or ±(0.1%rdg+4°F)

The device updates measurements at a rate of 1 time/second with resolutions selectable between 0.1°C/1°C and 0.1°F/1°F depending on the range.

Configuration Options

The HHC200 Series includes multiple models covering temperature, pressure, light intensity, RPM, air flow, humidity, dew point, wet bulb, and wind chill measurements. The series supports various unit configurations including Celsius/Fahrenheit for temperature; mmH₂O, mmHg, psi, inH₂O, inHg, hPa, mbar, Pa, FPM, and m/s for pressure and velocity.

Key configurable features across the HHC201 model include:

• Operation Modes: Measurement, Set (for APO ON/OFF, unit selection °C/°F, T1/T2 offset), Hold, and Relative mode with 'REL' indicator.
• Data Functions: Recording of maximum, minimum, and average values; auto power off capability.
• Safety & Durability: Rugged design with rubber bumper and cover shell. Includes warnings against use where working voltages exceed 24V AC or DC at the measurement surface and prohibits measurements in microwave ovens.

The series is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries (included) and features a 'LOW' indicator for battery replacement alerts. Physical dimensions are approximately 24.7mm(T) x 50.9mm(W) x 132.9mm(H), with weights ranging from 110 g to 148 g depending on the specific model.
