Supported Applications

The Omega HH911T and HH912T are high-accuracy, handheld digital thermocouple thermometers designed for temperature measurement in manufacturing and service applications. These portable instruments support four thermocouple types (J, K, T, E) via Mini-TC connectors.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series conforms to ITS-90 standards with a basic accuracy of ±(0.04% |rdg| + 0.3 °C). Measurement ranges vary by thermocouple type: Type K (-200 to 1372 °C, -328 to 2502 °F), Type J (-210 to 1200 °C, -346 to 2192 °F), Type T (-250 to 400 °C, -418 to 752 °F), and Type E (-250 to 1000 °C, -418 to 1832 °F). Resolution is 0.1 °C/°F/K for readings between -99.9 and 999.9 degrees, and 1 degree outside this range.

Operating ambient temperature spans -20 to 55 °C (-4 to 131 °F). Humidity limits are defined by temperature: <10 °C (Non-condensing); 10 to 30 °C (5 to 95% RH); 30 to 40 °C (5 to 85% RH); and 40 to 55 °C (5 to 60% RH). The instruments meet MIL-PRF-28800F, Class 2; UL 60079-0 § 26.4.2; IEC 61000-4 2:2009, Class B; EN 55022:2010+A1:2015, Class A; and RoHS2 compliance.

Configuration Options

The series offers single-channel (HH911T) and dual-channel (HH912T) configurations. Key capabilities include:

  • Inputs: One Mini-TC connector for HH911T; two Mini-TC connectors for HH912T.
  • Display & Statistics: 4-digit dual LCD with LED backlight (30-second timeout). Features real-time statistics including MIN, MAX, AVG, RNG, and STDEV. The T1-T2 differential function is available on the HH912T only.
  • Power: Operates on three AA batteries (IEC LR6, ANSI 15 Alkaline) with a typical battery life of 2000 hours.
  • Durability: Rated for shock up to 30g Half Sine and vibration at Random 10 – 500 Hz, 0.03 g²/Hz. Drop tested from 4 drops from 1 m to concrete.

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between models is channel count: the HH911T provides a single input for one thermocouple, while the HH912T supports dual inputs. Both models feature an ergonomic design with a tilt stand/magnet/hanger and retain power cycle configuration settings (Sensor Type, Temperature Units, Offset Values). The series includes options such as printed manuals (Model HH911T-900) and NIST certificates.
