Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series CXA Water Pump Pressure Switch is designed for controlling automatic water systems, particularly water well pumps and pumping systems. The switch operates with compatible liquids and gases.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports three measurement ranges: 15 to 80 psig (1.0 to 5.5 bar), 30 to 100 psig (2.1 to 6.9 bar), and 35 to 150 psig (2.4 to 10.3 bar). Repeatability is specified as ±5 psig (±0.3 bar). The temperature limit for the switch is 140°F (60°C).

Maximum pressure limits vary by model range:

• CXA-S1 and CXA-R1 models: 129 psig (8.9 bar)
• CXA-S2 and CXA-R2 models: 179 psig (12.3 bar)
• CXA-S3 and CXA-R3 models: 204 psig (14.1 bar)

Electrical ratings are rated at 20 A @ 120 VAC, 12 A @ 240 VAC, 9.6 A @ 240 VAC (3 phase), 8.6 A @ 32 VDC, 3.1 A @ 120 VDC, and 1.6 A @ 240 VDC.

Configuration Options

The Series CXA features a DPST snap action switch type with easily adjustable set point and deadband via internal screws inside the cover. The unit includes a 1/4" female NPT process connection and can be mounted in any orientation.

Switch Type:

• -S: NC (Normally Closed)
• -R: NO (Normally Open)

Range Codes:

• 1: 15 to 80 psig (1.0 to 5.5 bar) with an approximate adjustable deadband of 15-30 psig (1.0-2.1)
• 2: 30 to 100 psig (2.1 to 6.9 bar) with an approximate adjustable deadband of 20-35 psig (1.4-2.4)
• 3: 35 to 150 psig (2.4 to 10.3 bar) with an approximate adjustable deadband of 30-40 psig (2.1-2.8)
