Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series SSE Stainless Steel Enclosures are wall-mounted units designed to house electrical controls, instruments, and components. These enclosures are specified for locations that are wet, oily, or may be regularly hosed down.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Series SSE enclosures carry a NEMA 4X (IP66) rating and hold UL approval. The units meet the technical requirements of EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II). Agency approvals include CSA, cULus.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable dimensions and thicknesses across two primary model families:

• SSE-J-XXXXXX models: Thickness of 0.063" (1.60 mm).
• SSE-E-XXXXXX models: Thickness of 0.075" (1.91 mm).

The model number format follows SSE-J-XXXXXX or SSE-E-XXXXXX - <Height> - <Width> - <Depth> (example: SSE-J-100804, SSE-E-303008). Available dimensions and weights are listed in the specification chart.

Key Product Differences

The series includes specific options for mounting, security, and protection:

• A-CSE-L: Keylocking wing knob door latch; includes 1 lock and 2 keys.
• A-CSE-K: Replacement keys; includes 2 keys.
• A-SSE-F: Mounting feet (0.13" / 3.30 mm thickness); includes 4 feet†.

The series also supports sub-panels and drip shields with specific model codes corresponding to enclosure sizes, such as A-SSE-PJ-XXXX for SSE-J models and A-SSE-P-XXXX for SSE-E models. Drip shield models (A-SSE-D-XX) have a thickness of 0.048" (1.22 mm).
