Supported Applications

The Omega OM-AIR Series consists of push-to-connect pneumatic airline fittings designed for the quick and easy connection of tubing to valves, flow control devices, and check valves. These fittings are specified for compressed air applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within a process temperature range of 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F). The pressure rating is listed as 1.6 mm Hg to 10 bar (29.5" Hg to 150 psi).

Configuration Options

The OM-AIR Series offers a broad selection of configurations defined by fitting style, thread type, and tube outer diameter (OD). The series supports both standard and metric tubing sizes.

• Fitting Styles: Male straight adaptors (internal/external hex), miniature male straight adaptors, female straight adaptors, 90° swivel elbows (extended and miniature), 90° swivel elbow females, swivel side tee adaptors, swivel tee adaptors, swivel Y adaptors, female bulkheads, and bulkhead unions.
• Tube Sizes: Standard sizes include ⅛", ¼", and ⅜". Metric sizes include 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm, and 9.5 mm. Specific model rows also list compatibility with 8 mm tubing for certain thread types.
• Tube Types: Nylon (11 or 12) and Polyurethane (85 or 95 durometer).

The series accommodates a wide range of threaded connections to interface with various pneumatic components:

• Standard Size Threads: 10-32 UNF, ⅛" NPT, ¼" NPT, ⅜" NPT, M5, and ⅜ ISO R.
• Miniature Size Threads: 10-32 UNF, ⅛" NPT, M3, M5, and ⅜ ISO R.

Construction materials are selected for durability in pneumatic systems. The body is PBT; seals consist of silicone-free NBR U-packing and O-rings. Threaded bodies feature nickel-plated brass, while release sleeves and backing rings are POM. Grab-rings are stainless steel, collars are nickel-plated brass, and thread sealant is Threebond 2350B.

Variants within the OM-AIR Series differ primarily by geometry (straight, elbow, tee, bulkhead) and connection interface. The series includes both standard male straight adaptors with internal and external hex features for tool engagement, as well as miniature versions designed for smaller tubing diameters such as ⅛" or 3 mm.

Threaded options vary by region and application requirement, offering NPT (National Pipe Taper), UNF (Unified National Fine), metric parallel threads (M3, M5), and ISO R tapered pipe threads. Specific model numbers encode the thread type and tube OD; for example, OM-AIR-C24250210 denotes a male straight adaptor with 10-32 UNF threads compatible with ⅜" or 4 mm tubing.

Some configurations are designated as "Internal Hex" only (e.g., model series C...A), distinguishing them from the standard internal and external hex variants. Additionally, swivel options include extended versions to accommodate specific routing needs in tight spaces.
