Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series MDA Miniature Adjustable Pressure Switch is designed to sense differential pressure. The product overview identifies applications including industrial, HVAC, pump and motor control, medical, automotive, pools and spas.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of 40 to 150°F (4 to 66°C) with a storage temperature rating of -46 to 150°F (-43 to 66°C). The switch type is SPST normally open, featuring 18K gold inlay contacts. Electrical specifications include an operating voltage of AC/DC - 30 V or less with resistive load and a current rating of 40 mA resistive; the cycle life exceeds 20 million cycles.
Measurement ranges span from 0.1 to 100 in w.c., segmented by model:
- MDA-011-T: Min. Set Point 0.1 (0.25) in w.c. (mbar), Max. Set Point 0.5 (1.25) in w.c. (mbar)

The switching media is air, with compatible fluids allowed on the "high" side.
Configuration Options
The Series MDA offers a field adjustable set point and compact dimensions of 1 5/32 [29.21] depth by 1 5/32 [29.21] height by 25/32 [19.81] width, weighing less than 0.353 oz (10 g). The housing is constructed of polycarbonate.
Pressure limits vary by model series:
- MDA-0XX: 4 psi
- MDA-1XX: 8 psi
- MDA-2XX: 8 psi
- MDA-3XX: 15 psi
- MDA-4XX: 30 psi
The process connection is a smooth port with a 5/32" diameter for 1/8" ID tubing. Electrical connections utilize terminals - 0.187" x 0.20": spade (recessed) for use with quick disconnects.
