Supported Applications

The Omega DMD-470 Series consists of AC-powered signal conditioning modules designed for bridge-type sensors, strain gages, and load cells. These isolated amplifiers provide triple-isolated voltage or current outputs to interface with data acquisition systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series accepts input ranges from 5 to 50 mV for a full-scale output of either 0 to 10 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA. Excitation is provided as fixed 10V or variable 5 to 10 Vdc via 6-Wire Bridge Connections. The response time (10 to 90%) is specified at 35 ms.

Operating ambient temperature ranges from -25 to 55°C (-13 to 131°F), with a storage temperature range of -25 to 85°C (-13 to 185°F). Electrical isolation ratings include 1100 Vrms (60 pF) for AC output and 700 Vdc (60 pF) from input to output.

Configuration Options

The DMD-470 Series offers configurable power supplies, output types, and accessories. Both models feature dual zero/tare functions; the tare function allows up to 68% of the input to be offset while maintaining full output span.

Does this allow you to either calibrate and/or shunt the gauge and can you use them in 1/4 and 1/2 bridge mode?

You can use a shunt cal resistor to calibrate this unit. It's is designed for a full bridge input. You would have to complete the bridge externally.
