Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series TSWB Digital Temperature/Water Level Switch provides complete boiler control for outdoor wood boilers and other similar heating equipment. The device is designed to manage temperature set points and monitor low water conditions in applications such as wood or pellet boilers.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series TSWB operates within an ambient temperature range of 32 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C) with a storage temperature capability from -4 to 176°F (-30 to 80°C). The unit features a front protection rating of IP64. Measurement ranges depend on the selected sensor type: PTC sensors cover -58 to 302°F (-50 to 150°C), while NTC sensors range from -58 to 230°F (-50 to 110°C). Accuracy is specified as better than 1% of full scale, with a resolution of 1° (3 digits) displayed on red 1/2" digits.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple power supply configurations and output assignments to accommodate diverse installation requirements. Key configurable dimensions include:

• Power Supply Options: 115 VAC ± 10%, 230 VAC ± 10%, 24 VAC/DC ± 10%, or 12 VAC/DC ± 10%.
• Sensor Inputs: PTC (1000Ω @ 25°C) or NTC (10KΩ @ 25°C).
• Water Level Monitoring: Conductivity probe input supplying 12 VAC with factory-established sensitivity at 100KΩ.
• Relay Outputs: Three relays assignable to high temperature, low temperature, or water level inputs:
  • R1: SPST NO relay resistive load 5 A @ 250 VAC
  • R2: SPST NC relay resistive load 5 A @ 250 VAC
  • R3: SPDT relay resistive load 16 A @ 240 VAC (Horsepower Rating: 1HP — 10FLA, 60LRA)
• Display and Units: Available with Red display in °F or Green display in °C.
• Housing Dimensions: Overall dimensions are 2-63/64 in [75.69] x 1-21/64 in [33.73] x 2-29/64 in [62.23], with a depth of 2-49/64 in [70.36].
• Approvals: CE and cURus.

Key Product Differences

The Series TSWB is offered with specific model codes reflecting power supply, unit selection, and display color configurations. The device includes a configuration key (Model TS2-K) to facilitate setup across multiple controls. Relay output profiles allow field assignment of the three relays to high set point, low set point, or water probe functions in various combinations.
