Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series LPG4 is a 2.5" low pressure gauge designed for measuring compatible gases and liquids in both positive pressure and vacuum applications. The series supports measurement ranges up to and including 160 in w.c., utilizing a single beryllium-copper diaphragm construction affixed to a precision-machined brass plate.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series LPG4 delivers an accuracy of ±1.5% FS with a pressure limit rated at 100% of the range scale. The instrument is engineered for process temperatures from -40 to 160°F (-40 to 70°C) and ambient operating conditions between -40 to 140°F (-40 to 60°C). Wetted materials consist of brass and beryllium copper, while the housing features a drawn steel construction with a black finish. The unit carries an enclosure rating of NEMA 3 (IP54) and includes a removable polycarbonate lens.
Configuration Options
The series offers extensive range configurations to address specific low-pressure requirements, including vacuum-only, pressure-only, and compound ranges. All models feature a bottom process connection of 1/4" male NPT.
- Vacuum Ranges: Available from -10 to 0 in w.c. (-2.5 to 0 kPa) up to -235 to 0 in w.c. (-60 to 0 kPa).
- Pressure Ranges: Spanning from 0 to 10 in w.c. (0 to 2.5 kPa) through 0 to 160 in w.c. (0 to 40 kPa).
- Compound Ranges: Configurable options include -4 to 0 to 6 in w.c. (-1 to 0 to 1.5 kPa), extending up to -40 to 0 to 60 in w.c. (-10 to 0 to 15.0 kPa).
- Calibration: A NIST traceable calibration certificate is available as an option (code: NISTCAL-PG1).
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series LPG4 are distinguished by their specific measurement range and corresponding model number suffix. The series utilizes a high-precision, milled-teeth brass movement with nickel-silver pinion and bearing surfaces across all configurations. Model numbers follow the format LPG4-<RANGE>2N, such as LPG4-D7122N for the -10 to 0 in w.c. range or LPG4-D8722N for the 0 to 160 in w.c. range.
