La série DPG5500 est dotée d'un boîtier en aluminium et de plusieurs paramètres configurables par l'utilisateur, de lectures min/max, d'une fonction zéro et d'unités sélectionnables. Elle offre une précision de ± 0,25 %.
La DPG5500 est alimentée par 2 piles alcalines AA remplaçables qui permettent le fonctionnement de la jauge pendant 2 000 heures ou 150 à 1 500 heures, selon l'utilisation du rétroéclairage. Tous les modèles DPG5500 sont équipés d'un circuit d'arrêt automatique après 5 minutes afin de préserver la durée de vie des piles. Un indicateur de pile faible s'affiche lorsque les piles doivent être remplacées. La jauge peut être réglée en usine pour un fonctionnement marche/arrêt en spécifiant l'option " -NS " au moment de la commande.
