Supported Applications

The Omega NEMA4 Series SCE-XEL Enviroline® single-door enclosures are designed to house standard type disconnects and circuit breakers for flange-mounted installations. These outdoor electrical enclosures provide protection for internal components in environments requiring resistance to water, dust, oil, and corrosion.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets NEMA Type 4, 12 & 13 standards and IEC 60529 IP 66 ratings. Construction utilizes 0.075" carbon steel with continuously welded and ground smooth seams to ensure structural integrity and environmental sealing. The enclosures feature an oil-resistant gasket, a flange trough collar, concealed hinges, and a black zinc die-cast coinproof/padlocking handle.

Finish specifications include ANSI-61 gray powder coating applied inside and out over phosphatized surfaces. Optional panels are available with a white powder coat finish. The series is UL Listed and CSA Certified.

Configuration Options

The SCE-XEL series offers configurable dimensions to accommodate various disconnect sizes, with overall heights ranging from 20.00 to 60.00 inches, widths from 21.38 to 37.38 inches, and depths from 8.00 to 16.00 inches.

Key configuration options include:

• Housing Dimensions: Models are designated by height (A), width (B), and depth (C) in the model number guide format SCE-<HEIGHT>EL<WIDTH>LP - <DEPTH>
• Sub-Panels: Integrated sub-panel dimensions vary by enclosure size, ranging from 17.00 x 17.00 inches up to 57.00 x 33.00 inches
• Latching Options: Optional tamper-resistant inserts are available for latches
• Panel Finishes: Standard gray finish with optional white powder-coated panels

A specific model variant, SCE-60XEL3712LP4*, indicates provision for a 400 A disconnect.

Key Product Differences

The series consists of single-door enclosures specifically configured for flange-mounted disconnects. Disconnect switches and circuit breakers are not furnished with the enclosure; users must contact Omega to verify compatibility of specific devices and wire bend space requirements.

For outdoor applications, a drip shield is recommended but sold separately as no specific part number is provided in the series documentation.
