Supported Applications

The Omega Series 14 Two-Door Consoles are designed for housing electronic controls and instruments. These NEMA Type 12 workstations provide a protected environment for industrial operator interfaces, featuring flush-mounted doors with an oil-resistant gasket to maintain enclosure integrity.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets specific environmental protection standards: NEMA Type 12 & Type 13, UL Listed Type 12, CSA Type 12, and IEC 60529 IP 55. Constructed from 0.104" Carbon Steel, the enclosures feature a white powder-coated interior and an ANSI-61 recoatable gray finish exterior.

The console body dimensions are consistent across widths, with a height of 50.00 in and a depth of 23.00 in. The series is available in three standard widths: 48.00 in, 60.00 in, and 72.00 in.

Configuration Options

The Series 14 offers a range of configurable components to support various installation layouts, including console bodies, tops, sub-panels, and writing desks.

  • Housing Configurations: Console body (BD), optional top section (T), half sub-panel (P2), full sub-panel (P3), and writing desk (W).
  • Mounting Features: Includes a sloping control panel, removable eyebolts in the console body, and an optional equipment mount to horizontal channels welded to sides.
  • Door Mechanisms: Equipped with a 3-point latching mechanism. Padlocking handles are available in 176 (7.00) or 127 (5.00) configurations, and quarter turn latches measure 663.6 (26.13).
  • Accessories: A ground stud is provided on the door.

Key Product Differences

Variants are distinguished by width and component type, with specific model numbers corresponding to each configuration. The SCE-14XXBD models represent the console body for 48", 60", or 72" widths.

  • Console Tops: Models such as SCE-1448T, SCE-1460T, and SCE-1472T provide a top section with dimensions of 16.00 in height by the respective width (48", 60", or 72") and 12.50 in depth.
  • Half sub-panels (P2) are available for 48" and 60" widths with a height of 22.00 in. Full sub-panels (P3) have a height of 42.25 in.
  • Writing Desks: Models SCE-14XXW offer writing desk surfaces matching the console width with a depth of 10.00 in.
