Supported Applications
The Omega SEPDH series consists of OMEGALUX® silicone rubber area drum heaters designed for Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. These low-watt density electrical resistance heaters in blanket form provide a practical means for freeze protection, viscosity control, melting solids, and maintaining materials at elevated temperatures.
The SEPDH series is compatible with most chemical fluids and oils used in field service. The thin-line design allows the heater to fit between the drum and its cradle.
Operating Conditions & Performance
SEPDH heaters are Factory Mutual Hazardous Area Approved for Class I, Division 2, Groups B, C, and D; and Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G. The series features a built-in high-limit thermal cutout protection to maintain sheath temperature below the minimum safe auto-ignition temperature of materials in the area.
