Supported Applications

The Omega DRSL-SP3 is a bipolar isolated DIN rail signal conditioner and splitter designed for process signals. It provides galvanic isolation and converts bipolar process voltage or current signals for transmission to SCADA or PLC systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 70°C (-13 to 158°F) with a storage capability from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). It functions in relative humidity conditions of 0 to 95% RH non-condensing and carries an IP20 protection degree. The device is rated for Pollution Degree 2 and Measurement/Overvoltage Category II.

Performance specifications include a response time of <7 ms or <44 ms (0 to 100%) depending on configuration, with high accuracy of ≤±0.05% of span. The temperature coefficient is specified as ≤±0.01% of span/°C. Isolation between input/output 1/output 2/supply features a working voltage of 300 Vac and a test isolation voltage of 2.5 kVac.

Configuration Options

The DRSL-SP3 series supports configurable measurement ranges via DIP switches for both current and voltage inputs, with two isolated outputs available per unit.

• Input Ranges: Programmable bipolar current ranges of ±10 mA or ±20 mA (functional range -23 to 23 mA) and programmable bipolar voltage ranges of ±5V or ±10V (functional range -11.5 to 11.5V).
• Output Signals: Configurable current outputs include 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, ±10 mA, and ±20 mA; voltage outputs include 0 to 10V, 2 to 10V, 0 to 5V, 1 to 5V, and 0 to 11.5V.
• Load Requirements: Current output supports a maximum load of 300 Ω per channel at 23 mA; voltage output requires a minimum load resistance of >10 kΩ.
• Power Supply: Operates on 16.8 to 31.2 Vdc via Power Rail or connectors, with maximum power consumption of 0.8 W.

The unit features a slimline housing measuring 113 H x 6.1 W x 115 mm D (4.4 x 0.24 x 4.5") and weighs approximately 70 g (0.15 lb). It mounts to DIN rail using screw terminals.
