Supported Applications
The Omega DRSL-LPI Series consists of DIN Rail Input Loop-Powered Isolators designed for SCADA or PLC systems. These units provide galvanic isolation and a 1:1 conversion of standard current signals (0 to 20.5 mA). The series is engineered to eliminate ground loops, suppress surges, and protect against transients and noise in industrial signal conditioning applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DRSL-LPI Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 70°C (-13 to 158°F) with a storage capability from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). The devices function in relative humidity levels of 0 to 95% RH non-condensing and carry an IP20 protection degree. Performance specifications include an absolute accuracy (at 25°C) of ±10 μA + 0.05% of max value of selected span, with a response time (<5 ms). The series supports a functional current input range of 0 to 23 mA and is NAMUR NE43 compliant for fault indication.
Electrical isolation parameters include an Isolation Voltage (Test) of 2.5 kVac and an Isolation Voltage (Working) of 300 Vac. The Signal/Noise Ratio exceeds 60 dB with a Cut-Off Frequency (3 dB) of 100 Hz.
Configuration Options
The series is available in two channel configurations: the DRSL-LPI-1 for single-channel applications and the DRSL-LPI-2 for dual-channel requirements. Both models feature a slimline housing with dimensions of 113 H x 6.1 W x 115 mm D (4.4 x 0.24 x 4.5") and weigh approximately 70 g (0.15 lb).
