Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series WWDP Wet-to-Wet Differential Pressure Transmitter is designed for measuring the flow of various liquids and gases, pressure drop across filters, liquid level in pressurized vessels, and use in energy management and process control systems. The series provides field-selectable unidirectional and bidirectional pressure ranges to accommodate diverse installation requirements.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series WWDP operates within a compensated temperature range of 32 to 130°F (0 to 54°C) with an operating temperature range of -4 to 185°F (-20 to 85°C). Accuracy is specified as ±1% FS for all pressure ranges, except the lowest selectable range of each unit which is ±2% FS. Stability is rated at ±0.5% per year.

Pressure limits vary by model: WWDP-1 has a max working pressure of 50 psi; WWDP-2 supports up to 100 psi; and WWDP-3 handles up to 250 psi. The series features a proof pressure rating of 2.2X of FS and a burst pressure of 40X of FS. Response time is selectable between 1 to 5 s.

Configuration Options

The Series WWDP offers three primary models (WWDP-1, WWDP-2, WWDP-3) with optional LCD display versions for on-site indication of line and differential pressure. The series supports the following configurable features:

  • Pressure Ranges: Field-selectable unidirectional and bidirectional ranges including 5, 10, 25, 50 psid (WWDP-1); 10, 20, 50, 100 psid (WWDP-2); and 25, 50, 125, 250 psid (WWDP-3).
  • Output Signals: Configurable outputs include 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 1-5 VDC, and 4-20 mA.
  • Housing & Connections: All cast aluminum housing rated NEMA 4 (IP66) with a 1/8" female NPT internal process connection and 1/2" conduit electrical connection.
  • Materials: Wetted materials are compatible with gases or liquids suitable for 316 SS; the manual also references compatibility with 17-4 PH stainless steel.
  • Special Features: Includes auto-zero capability and a field-selectable port swap feature to eliminate costly replumbing if improperly installed. An optional NIST traceable calibration certificate is available (order code: NISTCAL-PT1).

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between standard models and LCD-equipped variants:

  • WWDP-1 / WWDP-1-LCD: Max working pressure 50 psi; selectable ranges of 5, 10, 25, 50 psid.
  • WWDP-2 / WWDP-2-LCD: Max working pressure 100 psi; selectable ranges of 10, 20, 50, 100 psid.
  • WWDP-3 / WWDP-3-LCD: Max working pressure 250 psi; selectable ranges of 25, 50, 125, 250 psid.

All models share the same enclosure rating and mounting orientation requirements: vertical mount with pressure ports down to prevent debris buildup. The unit is not field serviceable and must be returned for repair if needed.
