Operating Conditions & Performance

The HX80A Series operates within a defined measurement envelope across its various configurations. Relative humidity is measured from 5 to 95% RH with an accuracy of ±1% RH, while air temperature ranges from -20 to 120°C (-4 to 248°F) with an accuracy of ±0.5°C (1.0°F). The response time for the sensor is less than 15 seconds in still air conditions.

Specific pressure models extend the measurement capability: barometric pressure ranges from 750 to 1100 mb with ±5 mb accuracy, and high-pressure variants measure up to 200 psia (with a maximum pressure rating of 317 kg / 47.6 bar) at an accuracy of ±0.75 psi. Dew point models cover -60 to 40°C (-76 to 104°F). The probe features a removable, cleanable sintered stainless steel filter and is constructed from stainless steel.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable mounting styles including remote mount probes with cable, wall-mounted units, and duct-mounted configurations. Output signals are provided via three analog channels plus an RS-232 serial port (bi-directional, 19.2 kbaud). Models differ in output type: HX85A variants provide 0 to 10 Vdc outputs, while HX86A variants deliver 4 to 20 mA signals into a maximum load of 500 Ω.
