Supported Applications
The Omega CSF060 Series consists of touch-safe enclosure heaters designed for use in enclosures containing electrical and electronic components. The heater design supports natural convection to generate high air currents of warm air while maintaining low surface temperatures on accessible side surfaces.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F) and a storage temperature range of -45 to 70°C (-49 to 158°F). Power is supplied via 120 to 240 Vac (min 110V, max 265V), with heating capacity options of 50 W, 100 W, and 150 W. The unit features a PTC resistor heating element that provides temperature limiting.
Surface temperatures on accessible side surfaces are maintained below 80°C (176°F), excluding the upper protective grille. Air outlet temperatures measured 50 mm (2.0") above the protective grille vary by model: 86°C (186.8°F) for the 50 W unit, 120°C (248°F) for the 100 W unit, and 145°C (293°F) for the 150 W unit.
The integrated fixed-point thermostat switches off at 15°C (59°F) and starts heating at 5°C (41°F), with a tolerance of ±5K. Operating voltages below 140 Vac reduce heating performance by approximately 10%.
Configuration Options
The CSF060 Series is offered in three primary configurations distinguished by power rating and physical dimensions:
- CSF06001: 50 W heating capacity, maximum inrush current of 2.5 A, overall dimensions 110 x 60 x 90 mm (4.3 x 2.4 x 3.5"), approximate weight 0.30 kg (10.6 oz).
- CSF06011: 100 W heating capacity, maximum inrush current of 4.5 A, overall dimensions 110 x 60 x 90 mm (4.3 x 2.4 x 3.5"), approximate weight 0.30 kg (10.6 oz).
- CSF06021: 150 W heating capacity, maximum inrush current of 8 A, overall dimensions 150 x 60 x 90 mm (5.9 x 2.4 x 3.5"), approximate weight 0.50 kg (17.6 oz).
Electrical connection is provided via a 4-pole terminal for 2.5 mm² (0.10 in²) wire with a maximum torque of 0.8 Nm. The casing is constructed from black plastic according to UL94 V-0 standards, providing NEMA 2 (IP20)/II double-insulated protection.
Mounting and Installation
The units are designed for vertical fitting position and include a clip for mounting on a 35 mm (1.4") DIN rail per EN 50022 standards. The series is also available without an integrated thermostat under the CS 060 designation.
Key Product Differences
The primary variation within the stocked CSF060 Series models lies in heating capacity and physical length. Models CSF06001 and CSF06011 share identical dimensions of 110 x 60 x 90 mm (4.3 x 2.4 x 3.5"), while the higher-capacity CSF06021 extends to a length of 150 mm (5.9"). All three models include an integrated fixed-point thermostat with identical switch-off and starting temperatures.
Other voltages are available on request outside the standard 120 to 240 Vac range. The series holds CE, RoHS, and VDE approvals.

Thermostat does not work, get a real heater.
I needed to keep an enclosure warm. I thought it would be great to get one with an integrated thermostat. Bad move. Lemon. Does not work. Tech support was unhelpful. I solved the issue by going to Home Depot and buying a real thermostat. Hooked it up and it worked great. All you need to do is close the circuit and it turns on.
For fun I placed the red thermostat it comes with in the freezer for an hour. It is supposed to switch at 59º F. I tested continuity and the pins are still open. Verified broken. Nice.
Bottom line don't trust it and order a better one.
Also I couldn't post this with Ad Blockers. Had to re-type. Kind of annoying...

Do you have a time chart that shows how long a CSF06001 50W heater takes to reach it's maximum temperature? We are trying to determine how long the heater will draw the inrush current of 2.5A.
Hi Monte,
Thank you for the inquiry. Please forward this request to TEMP@DWYEROMEGA.COM.

how does this heater work in a moist environment, it will never be submerged but it may get wet on the rare occurrence of a mechanical/plumbing issue in the brine maker.
Thank your inquiry. This item can work in a moisture environment.

Where can a person find a rechargeable heater that doesn’t need a cord?
Thank you for your inquiry. Omega only offers electrical heaters that operate on hard wired AC/DC voltage supplies. We do not offer battery operated rechargeable heaters.
