Supported Applications

The Omega XBTK series comprises thermocouple terminal blocks designed for Type J, K, T, E, and R configurations. These screw-type DIN connectors provide maintenance-free connections with global acceptance in industrial control panels and instrumentation systems requiring standardized mounting.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an insulated temperature range of -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F). Terminal block contacts are constructed from thermocouple-grade calibration alloys. Electrical ratings include a maximum wire size of 12 AWG/2.5 mm² and connection data rated at 400 V for 24-12 AWG. UL-cUL ratings specify 300 V for 10 to 28-12 AWG.

The XBTK series supports multiple thermocouple types and includes options for identification, end protection, and DIN rail mounting accessories.

Available DIN rails are 2 m (6.6') in length and offered in slotted or solid configurations:

Key Product Differences

The primary variation within the series is the thermocouple type supported by each model number (K, J, E, T, R). Physical dimensions vary based on DIN rail compatibility; height for 35 x 7.5 mm rails is 40.0 mm (1.57 in), while height for 35 x 15 mm rails is 47.5 mm (1.87 in). The terminal width is 10.4 mm (0.41") and the length/cover width is 46.0 mm (1.81 in) / 1.0 mm (0.04 in). Installation requires a stripping length of 7 mm (0.28"), an M3 thread, and torque between 0.6 to 0.8 Nm (5.3 to 7.1 inch-lb).
