Supported Applications

The Omega TK Series Thermocouple Probe and Sensor Kits provide a comprehensive set of heavy-duty thermocouples with miniature connectors for temperature measurement tasks. Designed as complete kits, they include rugged carrying cases with custom foam packaging to organize seven probes, wires, extension cables, and accessories in one portable unit.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets or exceeds SLE and EN 60584-2 Tolerance Class 1 standards. Kits are available configured for Type J, Type K (CHROMEGA®-ALOMEGA®), or Type E calibrations; the specific calibration must be specified when ordering.

Probe Dimensions

• Diameter options: 0.8 mm (0.032"), 1.6 mm (0.062"), and 3 mm (0.125") for immersion probes with miniature connectors.

Configuration Options

The TK Series is offered in two primary housing configurations to accommodate different field requirements:

• TK-1-(*) Model: Attache type kit. The attache style case is described as compact and convenient for field use.
• TK-2-(*) Model: Rugged carrying case kit. This model features extra space to accommodate a handheld thermometer, extra wire, and accessories. It includes a secure snap lock and built-in carrying handle.

Each kit contains the following components with SMPW miniature connectors (miniature connectors):

• SP-RL type roller surface probe: 1 each
• SP-RA type right angle surface probe: 1 each
• SP-SP type surface probe: 1 each
• SP-BW type beaded wire probe: 1 each
• Immersion probes with miniature connectors (0.8 mm, 1.6 mm, and 3 mm OD): 1 of each size
• SMPW miniature connectors: 2 pair
• PFA coated wire, 22 AWG stranded, with SMPW miniature connectors, 600 mm (2'): 1 each
• PFA coated wire, 30 AWG solid, on spool, 600mm (2'): 1 each
• RSC retractable cable (1' expands 5x), with SMPW miniature connectors: 1 each
• SP-EH, 4" extension handle for surface probes: 1 each

The housing material is high impact plastic. Wetted materials include PFA coated wire.

Key Product Differences

Variants differ by case style and thermocouple calibration type:

• Housing Style: TK-1 models utilize an attache-style compact case, while TK-2 models use a rugged carrying case with additional storage capacity.
• Calibration Type: Models are designated by suffix (e.g., -J, -K, or -E) to indicate the thermocouple calibration included in the kit. Example: TK-2-K indicates a rugged carrying case type kit with Type K calibration.
