Supported Applications

The Omega TH-10-44000 series consists of general-purpose thermistor immersion probes designed for temperature measurement. These straight stainless steel sheath sensors are engineered to operate within a process temperature range of -80 to 150°C (-112 to 302°F). The series is compatible with SSLK and BRLK compression fittings, facilitating installation in systems requiring these specific connection types.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The TH-10-44000 probes feature a measurement range of -80 to 150°C (-112 to 302°F). Standard thermistor elements provide an interchangeability tolerance of ±0.2°C, while optional configurations offer improved tolerances of ±0.1°C. The wetted material is specified as 300 Series Stainless Steel sheath. Electrical connections are provided via a standard 1 m (40") cable consisting of 26 AWG stranded wire with PFA insulation and jacketing, terminating in stripped leads.

Configuration Options

The series supports extensive configuration options for probe diameter, sheath length, thermistor resistance, and electrical termination. Selection is managed through a model number guide: TH-10-44000-<PROBE DIAMETER>-<SHEATH LENGTH>-<THERMISTOR RESISTANCE>. Key configurable parameters include:

  • Probe Diameters: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4" (Standard Dimensions); M4.5 and M6 (Metric Dimensions).
  • Sheath Lengths: Standard lengths are 2 and 4 inches (50 and 100 mm). Longer sheath lengths are available by specifying the required length in inches or millimeters.
  • Cable Options: The standard cable is 1 m (40"). Custom longer cable lengths can be specified in the model number for additional cost.
  • Thermistor Resistance & Tolerance: Standard resistances include 5,000 Ω and 10,000 Ω at 25°C. Optional resistance values of 2,252 Ω, 3,000 Ω, and 30,000 Ω are available with no change in price for the ±0.2°C tolerance; a ±0.1°C interchangeability tolerance incurs additional cost.
  • Connectors: A phone plug connector is an optional accessory added by appending "-PP" to the model number.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the TH-10-44000 series are distinguished primarily by their dimensional specifications and electrical characteristics. Model numbers differentiate between standard inch-based dimensions (e.g., 1/8", 3/16") and metric dimensions (M4.5, M6). The second digit in specific model prefixes indicates the thermistor resistance value: models beginning with TH-10-44007 feature a 5,000 Ω element at 25°C, while those starting with TH-10-44006 utilize a 10,000 Ω element. Additional model prefixes such as TH-10-44031 and TH-10-44033 correspond to the optional resistance values of 2,252 Ω and 3,000 Ω respectively. All probes are manufactured in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engineer Got delivered very fast. Very Accurate measurement

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product with Room for Improvement This part meets almost all of our expectations. They give you plenty of cable to work with. Personally, we cut the cable to about 8 inches of length and put a connector on it for easy replacement. The only downside is there's no strain relief at the probe to cable transition. Our wire got bent back and forth several times over the course of a month and broke off. This kind of damage can not be fixed, requiring us to buy a new part. Overall, great product. Only improvement would be adding strain relief to the transition to prevent failure like this.
