Supported Applications

The Omega THDP-10 Series is a portable Temperature/Humidity/Dew Point Meter designed for measuring ambient temperature, dew point temperature, wet bulb temperature, relative humidity, heat index, and WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature). The series includes models with optional data logging capabilities to support manual recording or online PC-based data acquisition.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The THDP-10 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0~50°C and a relative humidity environment of <80%RH (non-condensing). Measurement capabilities span -20.0~50.0°C (-4.0~122.0°F) for temperature and 0.1~99.9% for relative humidity.

Performance specifications include a temperature accuracy of ±0.6°C. Relative humidity accuracy is specified as ±3%@25°C(10~90%), with others at ±5%. The device features high/low alarm threshold settings and includes functions to recall maximum, minimum, and average values.

Configuration Options

The series offers two primary configurations: the standard THDP-10 meter and the THDP-10-DL model with data logging. Both variants share identical measurement ranges, accuracy specifications, operating conditions, power requirements (AAA x 3 pcs), and physical dimensions of 160x58x32mm for the meter body with a sensor tip length of 31mm.

Key configurable features include:

  • Data Logging: The THDP-10 supports manual recording of up to 99 points. The THDP-10-DL adds online recording capability for up to 64,000 points via a USB interface.
  • Measurement Types: Both models measure Dew Point and Wet Bulb temperatures. Heat Index (HI) is available on both; WBGT Temperature measurement is supported only by the THDP-10-DL model.
  • Data Interface: The USB interface for PC connectivity is exclusive to the THDP-10-DL variant, which also includes a free software download from the manufacturer's website and an included USB cable.

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between the two models in the series lies in data handling and specific temperature calculations. The THDP-10 is configured for manual operation with a 99-point memory buffer, while the THDP-10-DL enables digital transfer of up to 64,000 recorded points via USB.

Additionally, the THDP-10-DL includes WBGT Temperature measurement functionality, which is not available on the standard THDP-10 model. Both units provide HI/LO alarm settings and switchable temperature units with a hold function.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Accuracy questionable Humidity function was out of tolerance. Unit was given with a more than 2 year old certificate of calibration. Sent to an accredited lab and found out of tolerance. This was a "new" unit.

When does the calibration certificate expire? How long is it valid for?

How quick is the response/change in readings? I may take a reading at one location, then move to another location for another reading - how fast does this unit adjust/stabilize for a new value?

Depending on the air flow you should probably expect about a 1 minute response time on the RH to reach the full stable reading. Temperature would be less than 10 seconds to register the stabilized reading.

Does the device come pre-calibrated and supplied with a NIST certificate?

Thank you for your inquiry. This unit only comes with a Certificate of Conformance (CAL-1). It doesn't come with a NIST certificate. Please send a quote request to sales@omega.com for a quote for this product with a NIST certificate.
