Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-PRTEMP140 Series is a submersible high temperature and pressure data logger designed for autoclave validation, mapping studies, and pressurized processes. The device measures and records simultaneous temperature and pressure readings in environments requiring IP68 protection.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient and process range of -20 to 140°C (-4 to 284°F) at 0 to 100% RH. Measurement capabilities include a temperature range of -20 to 140°C (-4 to 284°F) with a resolution of 0.01°C and calibrated accuracy of ±0.1°C (20 to 140°C). Pressure is measured from 0 to 5 bar using a strain gauge sensor, offering a resolution of 0.0001 bar and calibrated accuracy of ±0.03 bar (20 to 140°C).

Memory capacity supports up to 32,767 time and date stamped readings with configurable reading rates from 1 reading every second up to 1 reading every 24 hours. The device features a user-replaceable 3.6V high-temperature lithium battery providing approximately 2 years of typical life at a 1-minute reading rate. Time accuracy is ±1 min/month @ 25°C, with extended operation drift of ±20 mins/month at 140°C.

The series offers configurable mounting and connection options to suit specific installation requirements:

• Housing & Mounting: Available with a Flush Top (OM-CP-PRTEMP140-LVL) or an ⅛ NPT Pressure Port (OM-CP-PRTEMP140-NPT).
• Dimensions: OM-CP-PRTEMP140-LVL measures 50.2 L x 24.6 mm dia (1.98 x 0.97"); OM-CP-PRTEMP140-NPT measures 58.2 L x 24.6 mm dia (2.3 x 0.97").
• Materials: Constructed from 316 stainless steel with an IP68 enclosure rating.
• Data Interface: Requires the OM-CP-IFC400 USB docking station or OM-CP-IFC406 multiplexer interface (accepts up to 6 data loggers) for communication at 125,000 baud. Real-time recording may be used with a PC.
• Software & Validation: Compatible with Windows® XP SP3/Vista/7 and 8 (32- and 64-bit). An optional FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant IQ/OQ/PQ secure software validation workbook is available as the OM-CP-SVP-SYSTEM.
• Certification: Models are offered with an optional NIST calibration certificate (e.g., -CERT suffix).

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between two primary physical configurations based on the process connection interface. The OM-CP-PRTEMP140-LVL variant features a flush top design with an overall length of 50.2 mm (1.98") and weight of 90 g (3.2 oz). The OM-CP-PRTEMP140-NPT variant includes an integrated ⅛ NPT pressure port, resulting in an increased overall length of 58.2 mm (2.3") and a weight of 100 g (3.5 oz).

Both variants share identical sensor technology: a Resistance temperature detector (RTD) for temperature measurement and a strain gauge for pressure. Optional accessories include the OM-CP-BAT110 replacement battery, OM-CP-PR140-LUERFITTING adaptor (⅛ NPT to female luer lock), and separate software packages required for operation.
