Supported Applications
The Omega RH62 Stick Type Rugged Hygrometer & Transducer is a portable, compact digital thermo-hygrometer designed for simple one-hand operation. It measures temperature and relative humidity using an RTD Pt385/1000Ω sensor and a thin film polymer capacitive type hygrometer sensor.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The RH62 series operates within an ambient environment of 0°C to 50°C at less than 75% relative humidity. Storage conditions are specified as -20°C to 60°C at less than 80% relative humidity.
- Temperature Range: -20°C to 100°C
- Humidity Range: 0% to 100%RH
- Resolution: 0.1°C, 0.1%RH
- Temperature Accuracy: ±0.5°C (0°C to 50°C); ±1°C (-20°C to 0°C, 50°C to 100°C)
- Humidity Accuracy: ±2.5%RH (10% to 90%RH); ±5%RH (<10%, >90%RH). Stated accuracy applies at 23°C ± 5°C, <75% relative humidity.
- Sensor Response Time: 60sec typical for 90% of total range
- Hysteresis: ±1%RH typical (excursion of 10% to 90% to 10% RH)
- Sensor Stability: ±2%RH, 2 years typical
The electronic capacitance polymer film sensor is unaffected by water condensate and immune to most reagent vapors. The device features a measurement rate of 2.5 times per second nominal.
Power & Display Specifications
- Battery: 4 pcs 1.5V (AAA size)
- Battery Life: 200 hours typical
- Display: 3½ digit liquid crystal display (LCD) with maximum reading of 1999
Configuration Options
The RH62 series is offered in specific model configurations including the RH62C-MV and RH62F. The unit features a protective metal cap to cover the sensor head when not in use, which should be rotated clockwise to extend sensor life.
- Dimensions: 170mm(H) × 44mm(W) × 40mm(D)
- Weight: 160g (including probe and batteries)
The instrument includes an "OL" mark indication for overtemperature conditions. A low battery symbol is displayed when the voltage drops below the operating level.
Key Product Differences
Differences between variants are defined by their specific model codes and part numbers as listed in the series inventory (e.g., RH62C-MV, RH62F). The manual notes that the Δ symbol on the instrument indicates that the operator must refer to an explanation within the documentation.
