Supported Applications
The Omega FLD100 Series consists of heavy-duty industrial variable area flow meters designed for visual flow indication in gases and liquids. These fully enclosed units feature a brushed stainless steel case and are intended for use with media compatible with the wetted construction materials, specifically water and air service as documented.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates at a maximum process temperature of 93°C (200°F). Accuracy is specified as ±3% of full scale with repeatability of ±0.5% of full scale. The minimum flow rate is approximately 10% of the maximum flow rate.
Maximum pressure ratings vary by tube size: 200 psi for tube sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6; and 125 psi for tube sizes 8 and 9 (at 93°C / 200°F). Flow meters are calibrated at 14.7 psia.
Measurement ranges cover:
- Water: 0.25 GPM to 116 GPM (0.95 L/min to 439 L/min)
- Air: 1.2 SCFM to 250 SCFM (35 L/min to 7080 L/min)
Configuration Options
The FLD100 Series is available in two primary mounting configurations: FNPT end fittings for the standard FLD100 models and ANSI 150 flanges for the FLD100-FL series. The wetted parts include borosilicate glass flow tubes, FKM O-rings (with Buna or EPR optional), and 316 SS fittings, guide rods, floats, and float stops.
Key configurable options and features include:
- Housing: Brushed stainless steel enclosure
- Process Connections: FNPT (½", 1", or 2") for FLD100; ANSI 150 flanges (¾" nominal, 1-½", 2-½") for FLD100-FL
- Oxygen Service: Oxygen cleaning suffix "-02CLEAN" available at additional cost
- Tube Sizes: Ranges from size 3 to size 9, corresponding to specific flow capacities and pressure drops (e.g., FLD101 through FLD122)
The series carries RoHS compliance markings. A 1 YEAR WARRANTY is provided.

- Tube Sizes 3 & 4: Overall height B is approximately 243.3 mm (9.58 in) for flange models and 242 mm (9.54 in) for FNPT.
- Tube Sizes 5 & 6: Flange model height increases to 359.4 mm (14.15 in); FNPT is 348 mm (13.69 in).
