Supported Applications
The Omega TL-S Single Dot Non-Reversible Temperature Label series provides a visual indication of temperature exposure. These labels are designed to change color permanently when the specified threshold is reached, offering a simple method for monitoring thermal events on equipment and surfaces.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series covers a range of activation temperatures indicated by the numeric suffix in each model number (e.g., TL-S-100 through TL-S-500). As non-reversible indicators, the color change is permanent and remains visible even after the temperature drops below the threshold. Specific performance metrics such as response time, accuracy tolerances, or ambient operating limits are not detailed in the current data set.
Temperature Thresholds
The available activation points span from 100 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit based on the model numbering convention:
- Low Range: Models TL-S-100 through TL-S-290.
- Mid Range: Models TL-S-300 through TL-S-435.
- High Range: Models TL-S-450, TL-S-465, TL-S-480, and TL-S-490 up to TL-S-500.
Configuration Options
The series is offered in multiple configurations distinguished by the part number suffixes. The base model (e.g., TL-S-100) represents a single unit, while other variants indicate different packaging or quantity options:
- -50 Suffix: Indicates a variant available for specific temperature points such as 100°F through 490°F.
- -1200-3 and -1200 Suffixes: Available on select models including TL-S-100, TL-S-120, TL-S-140, TL-S-150, TL-S-160, TL-S-170, TL-S-200, TL-S-230, TL-S-250, TL-S-260, TL-S-290, TL-S-300, and TL-S-360.
Physical dimensions, adhesive backing specifications, dot diameter, and surface compatibility are not specified in the provided bundle data.
Key Product Differences
Variation within the TL-S series is primarily defined by the activation temperature threshold encoded in the model number. The numeric portion of the part number (e.g., 105, 110, 435) corresponds to specific set points ranging from 100°F to 500°F.
Secondary variations are indicated by suffixes appended to the base temperature code:
- No Suffix (Base): Standard single-dot configuration for all listed temperatures.
- -50 Variant: Offered across a wide range of set points from 100°F to 500°F, excluding specific gaps in the sequence where this suffix is not present.
- -1200-3 and -1200 Variants: Limited availability on select temperature thresholds within the series envelope.
Show Ratings & Reviews
Does the color will change with direct UV exposure (such as direct sun light) even if the temperature didn't exceed the allowed range?
Thank you for your inquiry. When exposed to sunlight/UV Rays, there could be some slight yellowing of the melt chemical but the temperature events will not change to black unless the rated temperature is exceeded.

Does a scratched appearance on the yellow label affect the indicator functionality?
Thank you for your inquiry bcng. As long as the scratch is just on the yellow outer cover and not on the center sensing element, the label should function properly.

Are the temperature labels fire resistant? If exposed to an open flame or in close proximity to an open flame will they break apart and release harmful substances?
Thank you for your inquiry P Engineer. The temperature labels are not fire resistant. You cannot put them in an open flame.

Is a partially activated dot (grey in color) considered meeting the target temperature on dot?
Thank you for your inquiry. Any change to the color of the activation dot means the target temperature has been reached. Basically if the dot's color does not look same as it did before the application

Will these labels trigger if the lower temperature range is exceeded?
Thank you for your inquiry. These labels will trigger when the temperature falls within the accuracy range of a specific temperature point.

Would you be able to provide a calibration cert that certify these labels as accurate?
Thank you for your inquiry SSmit. Unfortunately, we do not offer a specific calibration service for these labels. All of our products sold on our website do come with a Certificate of Conformance that certified these labels meet the specs stated on the data sheet.

At what temperature does TL-S-320 completely melt and/or burn?
Thank you for your inquiry. These labels can start to degrade physically a few seconds after the target temperature has been exceeded.
