The Omega RTD-800 series comprises high-accuracy resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensors designed for monitoring temperature in fluid, pressurized, gas, air, and surface applications. Operating Conditions & Performance

All models in the RTD-800 series utilize 3-wire construction with PFA-insulated cables. The sensing element is a standard 100 Ω Class 'A' DIN platinum sensor, providing an accuracy of ±0.15°C @ 0°C.

Measurement ranges vary by specific model configuration:

  • RTD-810 series: Maximum temperature rating is 750°C (cable rated to 232°C).
  • RTD-860, RTD-850, RTD-830, RTD-805, RTD-806, and RTD-809 series: Maximum temperature rating is 230°C (450°F).

The standard cable length for all models in the series is 1 m (40"). Probe dimensions vary by application; specific miniature configurations feature a diameter of 3 mm (⅛"), an insertion length of 114 mm (4½"), and a stem length of 38 mm (1½").

Configuration Options

The RTD-800 series offers extensive configurability through model selection and termination options. Model numbers follow the construction pattern: RTD - <MODEL> - <TERMINATION OPTION>. Available process connections include ¼ NPT thread, #8-32 UNC-2A mounting threads, stainless steel flange and sheath assemblies, aluminum housings machined for a #4 bolt, stud-mount construction, surface mount options, and encapsulated flat discs.

Termination and connector types vary by model to suit different integration needs:

  • Standard miniature connector (MTP-U-M)
  • Heavy-duty connector (OTP)
  • Audio connector (TA3F)
  • SPRTX-MTH and SPRTX(M1) transmitter interfaces
  • Copper terminal lugs (LUG)

Housing materials include stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic. The series supports a wide range of accessories for signal conditioning, data logging, and control integration, including the PUK-2T-10PK DIN rail terminal block, DRF-RTD DIN rail mountable signal conditioner, HH804U handheld thermometer, TX86 transmitter with built-in indicator, OM-DAQPRO-5300 handheld data logger, SPRTX 4 to 20 mA transmitter, CNI3253 controller, HE-XT105 PLC/HMI all-in-one, OM-SQ2010 data logger, CN1A-TC temperature controller, TXDIN1610 universal DIN rail transmitter, iDRN-RTD digital signal conditioner, CN606RTD3 6-zone ¼ DIN temperature monitor, OM-CP-OCTRTD 8-channel data logger, DP25B-RTD process meter/controller, and OM-CP-QUADRTD 4-channel data logger. Installation aids such as OT-201-1/2 high conductive paste, OMEGABOND epoxies, and OMEGA THERM thermal paste are also available.

Key Product Differences

The series is differentiated primarily by maximum temperature capability and physical form factor. The RTD-810 model family supports the highest process temperatures up to 750°C, with a cable limit of 232°C. All other enumerated models (RTD-860, RTD-850, RTD-830, RTD-805, RTD-806, and RTD-809) are rated for a maximum temperature of 230°C (450°F).

Physical variations include the miniature probe dimensions specified above versus other configurations such as stud-mount or encapsulated flat discs. what is the size of the holes on the stainless steel flange. is there a mechanical drawing.
