Supported Applications
The Omega PR-24 Series consists of RTD temperature sensors featuring integral Micro-DIN connectors designed for ease of installation and fast replacement. The series is described as ideally suited for use in demanding industrial environments, utilizing an all stainless steel sheath with IP65 rated connector protection.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PR-24 Series supports a process temperature range of -50°C (-58°F) to 250°C (480°F). The operating ambient temperature for the connector is specified as -30°C (-22°F) to 125°C (257°F). Standard configurations utilize Pt100 elements with Class A accuracy per IEC60751, featuring 4-wire construction. The series carries a pressure rating of 150 Bar.
Key Performance Specifications
- Accuracy: Class A (IEC60751)
- Process Temperature Range: -50°C (-58°F) to 250°C (480°F)
- Ambient/Connector Temperature Range: -30°C (-22°F) to 125°C (257°F)
- Pressure Rating: 150 Bar

Configuration Options
The PR-24 Series is configurable across multiple dimensions including wiring, element type, accuracy class, process thread, sheath diameter, and stem length. The model number guide follows the format: PR-24 - <Wiring> - <RTD Element> - <Element Accuracy Class> - <Process Thread> - <Sheath Diameter> - <Stem Length>.
Construction and Materials
The sheath material is 316 Stainless Steel. Standard process threads include G¼" (BSP), G½" (BSP), ¼" NPT, and ½" NPT; other threads are available on request.
Dimensions and Configurations
- Sheath Diameters: Available in 3 mm, 6 mm, ⅛" (3.2 mm), and ¼" (6.4 mm).
- Stem Lengths: Standard lengths include 150 mm and 6", with non-standard lengths configurable by modifying the part number suffix.
Accessories and Options
The series supports several accessories for installation and extension:- PR-24-CON-10M: Pre-wired micro DIN connector with 10 m (32.8') of 4-core PVC insulated wire with tinned copper overbraid.
- Copper Sealing Washers: CSW-1/4 for G ¼" threads and CSW-1/2 for G ½" threads.
- Extension Cable: EXTT-4CUI-24S-15M, a 4-core extension cable with 7 strands of 0.2 mm PFA insulated wire, 15 m (49.2') long.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the PR-24 Series differ primarily by wiring configuration (2-Wire, 3-Wire, or 4-Wire), RTD element resistance (Pt100 or Pt1000), and physical dimensions. The series includes pipe plug probes as well as standard probe configurations with integral threads.
Wiring Configurations
The model number guide indicates support for 2-Wire, 3-Wire, and 4-Wire constructions. Specific part numbers in the "To Order" table list Pt100 4-wire Class A probes as standard examples.Element Types
The series offers both Pt100 and Pt1000 RTD elements, with accuracy class specified per element type. Variants are available in various combinations of thread size (G¼", G½", ¼" NPT, ½" NPT) and sheath diameter to match specific installation requirements.

Missing info and long lead
The product pdf and website lack the resistance values vs temperature. It should be on the product page or included with the sensor at delivery, but both -1 star for not including critical information required to use the item.
Item is not standard part and took 4 weeks longer than advertised to deliver, major issue if you need to keep your process up and running. -1 star.

I am going to be using with an i-Series 1/8 DIN Temperature Process and Strain PID Controllers (PN CNI8A44-C24). What RTD type should I select, 392.4 or 385.4?
The RTD type you should select is the 385 which is considered the world wide standard. Please contact our Tech Support if you have any further questions. Thanks!
