The Omega HX92B Series Relative Humidity Signal Conditioner/Transmitter with Probe provides remote and on-site monitoring of relative humidity. The series delivers a linearized and temperature compensated output signal calibrated to a 0 to 100% RH scale, suitable for applications requiring precise environmental sensing.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HX92B Series operates within a process temperature range of -30 to 75°C (-22 to 167°F). Accuracy varies by humidity level: ±2.5% from 20 to 80% RH, ±3.5% from 5 to 20% and 80 to 95% RH, and ±4% from 0 to 5% and 95 to 100% RH. Repeatability is specified as ±0.1% RH, with a typical response time of 8 seconds.
The enclosure provides NEMA 13 (IP54) protection for the electronics. The digital sensor element is protected by a stainless steel mesh type filter that is easily removable for cleaning. Approvals include CE and UKCA; NIST certification is available as an optional feature.
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple output signal configurations, mounting styles, and probe types to accommodate diverse installation requirements.
- Output Signals: 4 to 20 mA (scaled for 0 to 100% RH), 0 to 1 Vdc, 0 to 5 Vdc, or 0 to 10 Vdc. Current output models enable placement of the transmitter at a remote location virtually any distance away from the measuring device.
- Mounting Configurations: Wall mount (standard), Duct mount (-D suffix), and Remote probe (-RP1 suffix).
- Sensor Probes: Standard short probes, field replaceable remote probes with 3 m (10') cable and M12 connector (TH-RP), or field replaceable short probes measuring 71.88 L mm (2.83") (TH-SP).
- Housing & Connections: Gray polycarbonate enclosure with a liquid-tight nylon gland featuring a neoprene seal for cables ranging from 2.29 to 6.73 mm (0.09 to 0.265") diameter. Internal connections utilize a 5-position terminal block accepting 14 to 22 gauge wire.
- Power Supply: Models with 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 1 Vdc, and 0 to 5 Vdc outputs require 9 to 30 Vdc @ 50 mA. The 0 to 10 Vdc output requires 12 to 30 Vdc @ 50 mA.
Key Product Differences
The HX92B Series is differentiated by mounting type, probe configuration, and replaceability of the sensor element:
- HX92B(*) (Wall Mount): Standard wall mount relative humidity transmitter. Models with suffixes C, V0, V1, or V2 include a field-replaceable sensor probe.
- HX92B(*)-D (Duct Mount): Duct mount configuration designed for installation in air handling ducts. These models do not feature a replaceable sensor probe and are supplied with an included duct mounting kit.
- HX92B(*)-RP1 (Remote Probe): Includes a remote probe with 3 m (10') cable and M12 connector. The sensor probe is field-replaceable, and the unit includes a duct mounting kit.
Model numbering follows the pattern HX92B(*) - - , where output codes are C (4 to 20 mA), V0 (0 to 1 Vdc), V1 (0 to 5 Vdc), and V2 (0 to 10 Vdc). Weights vary by configuration: HX92B(*) is 124 g (4.4 oz); HX92B(*)-D is 132 g (4.7 oz); and HX92B(*)-RP1 is 230 g (8.1 oz).
