Supported Applications
The Omega PX5200 is a compact, wet/wet differential pressure transmitter designed for reliable low dP measurements. The series identity centers on tank level monitoring and gas or liquid flow measurement applications requiring user-adjustable ranging.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX5200 operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) with a storage temperature capability from -15 to 65°C (5 to 150°F). Accuracy is specified as ±0.5% FS URL at 23°C, including linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability effects. The device features an output resolution of 0.1% FS URL and a response time of 100 ms (adjustable).
Static (line) pressure ratings are defined as follows:
- Proof Pressure: 300 psi for all ranges.
- Burst Pressure: 800 psi.
Differential overpressure limits vary by range. For pressure ranges ≤8 inH2O and ±4 inH2O, the proof limit is 30 psid with a burst of 130 psi. For ranges ≥20 inH2O and ±8 inH2O, the proof limit is 100 psid with a burst of 130 psi.
Configuration Options
The series supports configurable measurement envelopes across unidirectional and bi-directional ranges. Available configurations include:
- Measurement Ranges:
- Bi-directional: ±4 inH2O to ±200 inH2O (±10 mbar to ±500 mbar).
- Unidirectional: 0 to 4 inH2O to 0 to 400 inH2O (0 to 10 mbar to 0 to 1000 mbar).
Housing and Connections:
- Enclosure: Aluminum with NEMA 4X (IP65) rating.
- Process Connection: 1/4 NPT female.
- Electrical Termination: 1/2 NPT female conduit fitting.
Sensor and Wetted Materials:
- Wetted parts compatible with fluids and gases including 316 Stainless Steel, FKM (Viton), and Alumina Ceramic. Isolation fluid is silicone oil.
- Media temperature range: -10 to +70°C (-10 to 60°C per data sheet).

Key Product Differences
The PX5200 series is distinguished by its rangeability and directional capability. Models are designated as either bi-directional (e.g., PX5200-004WBDI) or unidirectional (e.g., PX5200-004WUDI). The model number construction follows the format: PX5200 - <RANGE> - <UNIDIRECTIONAL/BIDIRECTIONAL> - <OPTION>.
An optional 9-point NIST traceable calibration is available by adding the suffix "-XRH" to the model number at time of order. The series offers a rugged aluminum enclosure and integral display, differentiating it from non-displayed transmitters in similar categories.
