Supported Applications

The Pura Advanced Online Hygrometer is an ultra-pure moisture measurement solution that pairs a Pura digital sensor with a process monitor for continuous dew-point indication. The Pura Hygrometer Solutions are designed for moisture breakthrough indication in ultra-dry moisture purification applications, and the system can be used either as a transmitter or as a complete online hygrometer across a wide variety of pure gas measurement applications.

Typical applications include semiconductor manufacture, fibre optic production, optical coating processes, electronic component manufacture, and speciality gas production and distribution. The platform is also applied to media such as Natural Gas, Refinery Gas, LPG, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Air, Steam and Water. A service exchange program is available, reducing the cost of maintenance.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The online measurement range is -120...-40 °Cdp, with non-standard ranges available on request. Sensor accuracy is ±1 °C from -40 to -60 °Cdp, ±2 °C from -60 to -100 °Cdp, and ±4 °C from -100 to -120 °Cdp (extrapolated), with a repeatability of ±0.1 °C and a resolution of 0.1 °C. Response time is quoted as T90 < 10 seconds, and each sensor ships with a traceable 7-point calibration certificate.

The monitor drives up to 3 x 4...20 mA fully user-configurable and scalable analog outputs plus Modbus RTU over RS485, and provides 2 x Form A, 2 x Form C 30 V DC 5A Namur compliant programmable relay outputs for process and fault conditions. It reads the sensor input signal over Modbus RTU over RS485.

The Advanced Online 2 Monitor uses a Color LCD, 3.5 inch display at 320 x 240 pixels, and measures 107.7 mm width, 92.1 mm height and 42.0 mm depth. Compliance marks include CE & UKCA.

Configuration Options

Configurations differ across four ordering features: the sensor Version, the Range, the Power input, and the sensor Electrical Connector cable length. The Version determines both the sample-block packaging and the process connection.

  • PRM — Double Bagged, with 2 x 1/4" male VCR process connections; weighs 450 g
  • OEM — Single Bagged, with 2 x 1/4" male VCR process connections; weighs 450 g
  • SEN — Sensor only, no block, with a 1/2" male VCR process connection; weighs 180 g

Power is selected between 85 to 265 V AC and 18 to 28V DC, and the sensor connector cable is offered as M12 Sensor Cable 2m, M12 Sensor Cable 5m, or M12 Sensor Cable 10m. All variants share the -120 to -40°C dp range and an M12 5 Pin (A coded) electrical connection.

Key Product Differences

The ordering structure is PUR-AOL2 followed by Version, Range, Power and Electrical Connector characters, introduced under the ordering code change effective 1st July 2025. The following configured variants are available:
