Supported Applications
The Omega OM-SGD-43-A is a programmable smart graphics process meter featuring a 4.3" capacitive touch display designed for use with PanelPilotACE Design Studio, free drag-and-drop software for rapid development of advanced user interfaces and panel meters. The unit runs embedded Linux on a Freescale i.MX283 (454MHz, 32bit, ARM 9) processor and is intended for industrial applications.
WARNING: These products are not designed for use in, and should not be used for, human applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The OM-SGD-43-A operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F). The display is a 4.3" TFT with 262k colours and a resolution of 480 x 272px.
Electrical performance includes four 16-bit bi-polar analogue inputs supporting up to ±40V d.c., or configured for 4-20mA, providing typical accuracy of 0.05% ±1mV* (for measurement ranges up to ±10V). The unit is powered by a 5 to 30V d.c. supply with a typical current draw of 300mA at 5V d.c.
Configuration Options
The series supports extensive I/O and communication options via specific connector interfaces:
- TBLK1 (6-pin): Provides Supply Voltage, 0V reference, and four Analogue Inputs (IN1 to IN4).
- PL4 (34-pin): Supports two Alarm outputs (ALM1, ALM2), I2C bus lines (SCL/SDA), SPI interface (SS1/MOSI/MISO/SCK), eight Digital I/O channels (DIG1 to DIG8), and four 8-bit PWM outputs.
- Mini USB: Used for uploading projects.
The device includes internal memory consisting of 16bit DDR2 SDRAM and a 2GB SD card. Serial bus hardware capabilities include RS232, SPI, I2C, RS485, and Ethernet; however, these are noted as not available in software at launch.
Key Product Differences
The OM-SGD-43-A is offered with overall dimensions of 119.3 (4.7) x 79.8 (3.1) x 20.0 (0.8) mm (in). The series carries CE certification.

Is it possible to input three signals, perform math, and output the result rather than the actual input? Specifically, I have temperature, pressure, and volume flow rate, but need the output in mass flow. Does the software allow me to perform this?
