Supported Applications
The Omega PRG350A series comprises stainless steel filter-regulator units designed for compressed gas applications in harsh environments. These mechanical pressure regulators combine particle filtration with precise pressure regulation, specifically engineered for sour gas and offshore environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PRG350A series operates within a temperature range of -4 to 176 °F (-20 to 80 °C) and supports a maximum supply pressure of 425 psig (29.3 bar). The integrated filter provides standard particle removal at 25 micron, utilizing a swirling pattern to separate coarse particles and liquid before finer filtration.
Performance specifications include an exhaust capacity of 1.0 scfm (1.7 m³/hr) when outlet pressure is 10 psig above the set point, with maximum air consumption limited to 4 scfh (0.1 m³/hr). The units feature a tapped exhaust port for remote venting and minimal air consumption.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable output pressure ranges and process connection sizes tailored to specific system requirements:
- Housing & Materials: Constructed entirely of AISI 316 stainless steel for the body, bonnet, and filter. Wetted materials include fluorocarbon elastomers for diaphragm seals, while range springs and pintle springs are made from Inconel.
- Certifications: Materials meet NACE #MR-0175 material requirement for sulfide stress cracking.
- Process Connections: Available with ¼" NPT or ½" NPT inlet and outlet ports. Gauge and exhaust ports are provided as ¼" NPT.
- Output Pressure Ranges (psi): Configurable ranges include 0 to 30, 0 to 60, 0 to 100, and 0 to 150 psi. Equivalent bar ratings are provided for each range in the specification table.
- Maintenance Features: Includes a manual drain for the filter bowl; operators must ensure liquid levels do not rise above baffle (J) to prevent downstream carryover.
Key Product Differences
The PRG350A series is divided into two primary model families distinguished by port size and weight:
- PRG354A Series (¼" NPT Ports): Weighs 1.0 kg (2.2 lb). Model numbers include PRG354A-30, PRG354A-60, PRG354A-100, and PRG354A-150.
- PRG352A Series (½" NPT Ports): Weighs 1.3 kg (2.9 lb). Model numbers include PRG352A-30, PRG352A-60, PRG352A-100, and PRG352A-150.
