Supported Applications

The Omega CN-TOT Portable Thermocouple Temperature Controller is designed for general purpose use in indoor environments. The series controls the temperature of small tanks, drums, pipes, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), and other objects requiring automatic control.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The controller features a digital on/off output with an audible alarm. It accepts Type J thermocouple mini connector input signals. The measurement range is 10 to 79°C (50 to 175°F). Accuracy is specified as ±1% FS, and the differential hysteresis is 5°C (9°F).

Ambient operating temperature limits are -10 to 55°C (-14 to 131°F). The unit includes a 1.8 m (6') input power cord with a standard plug.

Configuration Options

The CN-TOT series is available in two voltage configurations, each rated for 15 A output:

  • CN-TOT-A-175JF-120V: 120 Vac power supply with NEMA 5-15 input plug and NEMA 5-15R output receptacle.
  • CN-TOT-A-175JF-240V: 240 Vac power supply with NEMA 6-15 input plug and NEMA 6-15R output receptacle.

The controller dimensions are 200 mm (7.88 in) height, 120 mm (4.75 in) width, and 60 mm (2.38 in) depth. The series is manufactured in the USA with a 1 year warranty.

can I change the max temperature control from 175F to 300F?

Thank you for your inquiry. This controller has a pre-programmed maximum setpoint limiter. This can be raised as high as 999°.

How can this be changed to Celsius? All the specifications are given on F and C, so I expected to be able to display C

How do you change the setpoint limiter? The little manual says that "Set Point (SP) is the only parameter the user can access without code protection" but I can't find any information on changing the set point limiter. Thanks
