Supported Applications

The Omega PTH-1XA is a pen-style, pocket digital tester for measuring ambient relative humidity and temperature. Its compact body and clip make it a portable instrument for spot checks of indoor air conditions in HVAC service, storage and warehouse monitoring, laboratories, greenhouses, and general facilities work where a quick handheld reading is needed.

A digital display and two control buttons (A and B) let a technician read humidity and temperature directly and recall stored values. Built-in MAX/MIN memory captures the highest and lowest readings, so the tester also supports short-term monitoring of how conditions change at a location.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PTH-1XA measures relative humidity from 20 to 95% RH and temperature from -20 to 60 °C (-4 to 140 °F). Humidity accuracy is ±3% over the 30 to 80% range and ±5% RH elsewhere, while temperature accuracy is 1.0 °C (2.0 °F).

The HighPoly humidity sensor has an absorb response time of 120 seconds from 30 to 90% and 150 seconds from 90 to 30%. The instrument runs on 1 AAA battery and powers off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve power.

Configuration Options

The PTH-1XA is offered as a single, fully specified configuration rather than a range of ordering options, so every unit shares the same sensing, display, and power features. Its capabilities are defined by its integrated functions rather than by variant codes.

• Dual measurement: simultaneous relative humidity and temperature readings on one digital display.
• Selectable units: the temperature reading can be changed between °C and °F.
• MAX/MIN memory: stores peak and minimum readings; in MAX/MIN mode the unit reverts to normal after 10 seconds, and stored data is cleared when the unit is powered off.
