Supported Applications

The Omega LSC7000 Series consists of low-range remote platform scales designed for high-accuracy weighing tasks. The series supports in-line weighing, checkweighing, parts counting, sample or bulk scale applications, and general-purpose weighing.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LSC7000 Series offers capacities ranging from 2 to 200 lb (1 to 91 kgf) with an accuracy class of 1 Part in 5000. Specific performance metrics include a linearity of 0.01% and hysteresis of 0.02%. The scales operate on an excitation voltage of up to 15 V max.

Output signals vary by capacity range: models with 10 lb ranges provide 1 mV/V, while all other ranges deliver 2 mV/V. Each unit includes a 3 m (10') cable for electrical connection.

Configuration Options

The series is available in two platform constructions to suit different environmental and handling needs:

  • Aluminum Platform: Fabricated construction, measuring 203 x 203 mm (8 x 8"). This size corresponds to the 2 lb and 5 lb capacity models.
  • Stainless Steel Platform: Cast construction, measuring 305 x 356 mm (12 x 14"). This larger platform is used for capacities from 10 lb up to 200 lb.

The series supports the following capacity and resolution combinations:

  • 2 x 0.0002 lb
  • 5 x 0.0005 lb
  • 10 x 0.001 lb
  • 20 x 0.002 lb
  • 50 x 0.005 lb
  • 100 x 0.01 lb
  • 200 x 0.02 lb

The scales are compatible with DP41-S, WM7400, and WM7600 meters.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the LSC7000 Series differ primarily by capacity range and platform material. The 8 x 8" aluminum platforms are designated for lower capacities (2 lb and 5 lb), while the 12 x 14" stainless steel platforms accommodate higher loads from 10 lb to 200 lb.

Model numbers follow the format LSC7000-, where the suffix indicates the maximum capacity in pounds (e.g., LSC7000-5 for a 5 lb range, LSC7000-100 for a 100 lb range). Shipping weights vary by platform size: 3.7 kgf (8 lb) for the 8 x 8" aluminum unit and 8 kgf (18 lb) for the 12 x 14" stainless steel unit.

Scale is 2mv/V: when powered with a 12vdc supply, what would the scaling end points be? on a 0-10VDC input: full scale min = ? full scale max = ?

Asked by: Richard23
Richard, if you are powering the load cell with 10 volts DC, at no load you will see 0 mV out and at full load you will see 20 mV out (Nominal) If you are powering the load cell with 12 volts, at no load you will see 0 mV and at full load you will see 24 mV. (Nominal)
