Supported Applications

The Omega GTF and GTFL series comprises fluoropolymer-covered immersion heaters designed for liquid heating applications. The product line includes the GTF side mount configuration and the GTFL L-shaped design, providing options for different tank geometries and installation requirements.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within a power range of 1 to 6 kW at a surface loading of 10 W/in². Electrical supply is configured for 1-phase operation with voltage ratings of 120, 240, and 480V. The wetted materials consist of fluoropolymer-covered stainless steel elements. Overtemperature protection is provided via a field-replaceable thermal fuse rated at 260°F.

• Polypropylene Guard: Available as a separate order item to protect the heater element. Guards add approximately ½" to overall heater dimensions and are identified by specific guard model numbers (e.g., GTF-1G, GTFL-6G).

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between models lies in the mounting configuration and dimensional envelope. The GTF series utilizes a side mount orientation with dimensions increasing proportionally from 1 kW (DIM A: 11", DIM B: 6") to 6 kW (DIM A: 40", DIM B: 27").

The GTFL L-shaped series provides alternative dimensional profiles. For example, the 1 kW model measures 12" by 9", while higher power models such as the 3 kW and above utilize a consistent 18" dimension for one axis with varying lengths on the second axis (ranging from 17" to 29"). Both series share identical electrical ratings per kilowatt step but differ in physical footprint and mounting geometry.
