- PNP (2-wire and 3-wire)
- Push-pull
- TTL/CMOS pick-up
- Inductive sensors (<30 Vp AC)
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DPF20 features a 6-digit display with 14 mm digit height and offers configurable measurement ranges based on the selected mode:
- Counting frequency up to 250 KHz in 'FAST' mode.
- Maximum frequency up to 500 KHz in 'SLOW' mode.
- Minimum frequency down to 0.001 Hz (1 mHz) in 'SLOW' mode.
- Display range from -199,999 to 999,999 with decimal point positioning.
The meter provides a front protection rating of IP65 and includes configurable trigger levels. Excitation voltage is adjustable from 5 Vdc to 18 Vdc depending on the sensor configuration. The unit supports multipliers and dividers ranging from 1 to 99,999.
Configuration Options
The DPF20 Series offers extensive configurability through a modular model number structure: DPF20 - <Power> - <Option 1> - <Option 2> - <Option 3> - <Others>.
Power Supply Options
- HV: 85-265 Vac/dc
- Lv: 11/60 Vac, 24 Vac, 48 Vac
Outputs and Communication Interfaces
The series supports the following output and communication options (configurable in Option slots):- R1: 1 relay (up to 3 relays available)
- T1: 1 transistor output
- SSR: 1 SSR drive control
- AO: Isolated analog output
- RTU: Modbus RTU communication
- S4: RS-485 ASCII
- S2: RS-232
Additional Features and Options
- NBT: No buttons (sealed front)
- GN: Green LED display
- Password protection for configuration menu access.
- Retention memory to recover data after power loss.
- Double setpoint alarms with activation/deactivation delays, hysteresis, and inverted relays.
Key Product Differences
The DPF20 Series distinguishes itself through its configurable architecture. The base model supports 'SLOW' mode for slow frequencies and 'FAST' mode for fast counting. Electrical connections utilize plug-in screw terminals. Specific variants differ by power supply selection (HV or LV) and the combination of output modules installed in Option 1, Option 2, and Option 3 slots.Available configurations include combinations such as DPF20-HV-R1-AO-SSR-NBT, allowing for simultaneous relay control, analog signaling, SSR drive, and a sealed front panel. The series also supports display filters (recursive), memory functions (max., min., cycles), and configurable reset options via the front, rear, or linked to alarm activation.

Good box, poor manual
Features as advertised, just hard to find in the text. If the manual were laid out with the clarity of older Omega products, it would have received more stars.

DPT20 transmitter with FPR304 meter.
A compact indicator/transmitter. Easy to set up. I used it with an omega FPR304 meter. Would have liked to see specific configuration in the manual for Omega products. Missed ensuring the pull up resistor setting was set ON. Simple to fix. Would have liked to be able to enter a setpoint rather than use an alarm point. Probably a feature for a different transmitter but immediate need dictated selection.

I have a DPF20-LV, I was testing the functions and added a password. Now 3 months later I do not recall what that password was, How to I break the pass to get into the unit to see the setting and scaling I used or worst case how do i reset the whole unit.
Master password is 000007

I am replacing a DPF20. The old rt6 settings are 006000 for the MuLt and 133 for the diV. The diV is the K Factor of the meter, but how is the MuLt determined? I could just enter the numbers, but I want to make sure it is right. Flow Meter is a FPD2305.
Thank you for your inquiry. The MULT is time in hours, minutes, or seconds and if the K-factor is 133 which goes into DIV, then, the MULT should be 60 to reflect time in minute to have the display show gallons per minute.

I have am Omega DPF20, using Conf.6 ratemeter function. When attempting to choose Sensor option, it will not save. I try to select PnP3 however it always resets after I press the LE key. The 3 horizontal bars do flash to indicate the saving.
Thank you for your inquiry about the meter. Once you select the configuration input, it will save and if you let it time out, it will also save. If still having an issue, please forward to our Flow, Level, and Environmental Group at flow@omega.com

I need to limit the maximum speed of a high speed 3-phase alternator by connecting it to a braking resistor bank via relay. How quickly does this device activate one of the solid state outputs (T1 or SSR) after the signal frequency reaches the trip value?
Thank you for your inquiry about the DPF20 meter. Please email flow@omega.com and can provide the response in detail per your request.
