ATEX/IECEx Differential Pressure Switch, 0.08-20 inH2O, Flameproof
- Flameproof enclosure with optional glass window and aluminum housing protects the device in hazardous areas while giving local visibility to set point status
- Increased response time at low pressures with LD port configuration
Product Overview
- Series ID Series-AT-ADPS
Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series AT-ADPS is an ATEX/IECEx approved differential pressure switch designed for overpressure, vacuum, and differential pressure applications in hazardous areas. The series monitors air filters, ventilators, industrial cooling-air circuits, and controls air and fire-protection flaps. It is intended for use with air and noncombustible, compatible gases.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series AT-ADPS operates within a process and ambient temperature range of -4 to 185°F (-20 to 85°C). The device supports differential pressure settings from 0.08 in w.c. (20 Pa) up to 20 in w.c. (5000 Pa), with specific ranges including 0.08 to 1.2 in w.c., 0.12 to 1.6 in w.c., 0.2 to 2 in w.c., 0.8 to 4 in w.c., 2 to 10 in w.c., and 4 to 20 in w.c.
Maximum operating pressure is limited by the port configuration: VS0 (standard port/no valve) supports up to 10 kPa for one or both ports connected, while VL0 (LD port/no valve) also lists a limit of 10 kPa. The enclosure rating is IP66. Electrical ratings include a standard switch capacity of Max. 1.5 A @ 250 VAC.

Configuration Options
The series offers configurable options for hazardous area installations, including flameproof aluminum enclosures with optional glass windows to view set point status on the dual-scaled adjustment knob (inches water column and Pascals). The model number guide defines selection parameters such as enclosure type, housing material, pressure range, connection style, switch rating, cover type, port/valve materials, configurations, and cable entry.
Key Configuration Options
- Housing Material: Aluminum (101NA)
- Cover Type: Blind or Glass window
- Port/Valve Materials: Brass or Stainless Steel (SS) depending on selection
- Port Configurations: VS0 (Standard port/no valve), VL0 (LD port/no valve)
- Cable Entry: Two 1/2" NPT female connections; cable gland not included
- Process Connections: 1/8" NPT female brass or SS optional
Wetted Materials
- Diaphragm: Silicone
- Switch Body: PA 6.6 and POM
- Cover: Polystyrene
- Ports/Valves: Brass or SS (based on configuration)
Key Product Differences
The Series AT-ADPS is distinguished from the standard ADPS series by its ATEX and IECEx hazardous area approvals, flameproof aluminum enclosure construction, and IP66 rating. While both series utilize a silicone diaphragm for air and noncombustible gases, the AT-ADPS features specific pressure limit charts tied to port configurations (VS0/VL0) rather than a single universal operating pressure. The model numbering system explicitly encodes hazardous area compliance parameters such as enclosure type and temperature class ratings.
