Are these gages encapsulated? Also, is it recommended to further encapsulate the gage with adhesive after installation if used outside?

Asked by: BDwyer55
Yes these gauges are encapsulated in a polyimide carrier. If used outdoors we suggest apply some sort on addition coating over the gages. A flexible rubber sealant would probably work well

Can I use those cells for a torque monitoring application. If yes, then how long those last without failing for fatigue use. Im in a project that needs to have everything pretty small, and those cells may fit well. Thanks

Asked by: Mariolito
Yes you can use these gages for torsional (torque) measurement on a shaft. Life should indefinite as long as you do not exceed the maximum strain rating of the gage.
