Supported Applications
The Omega PX931, PX941A, and PX951 series are high-accuracy pressure transducers designed for industrial environments. These units feature a stainless steel diaphragm compatible with most media and include shunt calibrators to facilitate quick checks against various meters.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series covers measurement ranges from 0 to 10 psi (0 to 0.69 bar) up to 0 to 7500 psi (0 to 517 bar). Accuracy is specified as ±0.15% FS for the PX931, and ±0.15% combined effect of linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability for the PX941A and PX951 series. Hysteresis is typically ±0.10%, with typical repeatability at ±0.05%. The response time for the PX951 series is 2 ms.
Operating temperature ranges vary by model: -73 to 163°C (-100 to 325°F) for the PX931; -18 to 85°C (0 to 185°F) for the PX941A; and -45 to 121°C (-50 to 250°F) for the PX951. The compensated temperature range across all series is 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F). Thermal zero effect is ±0.005% FS/°F, and thermal sensitivity effect is ±0.005% reading/°F.
Configuration Options
The series offers three distinct output configurations with specific power requirements:
- PX931 Series (Millivolt Output): Provides a 3 mV/V signal. Requires an excitation of 10 Vdc (15 Vdc max) @ 30 mA.
- PX941A Series (Current Loop): Delivers a 2-wire 4 to 20 mA output with ±10% adjustability. Requires an excitation of 12 to 40 Vdc @ 20 mA.
- PX951 Series (Voltage Output): Provides a 4-wire 0 to 5 Vdc signal with ±10% adjustability. Requires an excitation of 24 to 32 Vdc @ 25 mA.
All models feature adjustable zero and span, come with a 5-point calibration certificate, and utilize a PT06F10-6S-R connector (not included). The housing is constructed from 17-4 PH stainless steel. Process connections are standardized at ¼-18 NPT.
Key Product Differences
The series distinguishes itself by output type and physical dimensions:
- PX931: Millivolt output; overall length of 70 mm (2.75 in); weight of 290 g (10 oz).
- PX941A: 4-20 mA current loop; overall length of 107 mm (4.20 in); weight of 383 g (13.5 oz).
- PX951: 0-5 Vdc voltage output; overall length of 117 mm (4.6 in); weight of 383 g (13.5 oz).
Absolute pressure ranges are available by changing the 'G' or 'S' character to an 'A' in the model number for additional cost.
