Supported Applications

The Omega CVCHS Series Corrosive Solution Booster Heater is designed to heat clean and corrosive solutions. The series supports side-arm heating, in-line circulation, and engine pre-heater applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The unit features a non-metallic CPVC pipe body with INCOLOY sheath elements. It includes an integral thermostat adjustable from 60 to 190°F and an integral automatic cutout set at 195°F. The construction is vibration resistant, built to withstand vibrations typically experienced on many types of operating equipment (i.e., engines). Power supply options are 120V or 240V, Single Phase.

Power and Dimensions

The series offers power ratings from 1.5 kW to 3 kW in the following configurations:

• 1.5 kW (Code 01P5): Overall dimension A is 17 5/16"; B is 12".
• 2 kW (Code 02P): Overall dimension A is 17 5/16"; B is 12".
• 2.5 kW (Code 02P5): Overall dimension A is 21 5/16"; B is 16".
• 3 kW (Code 003P): Overall dimension A is 21 5/16"; B is 16".

Weights range from 3 to 4 lb depending on the model configuration. Process connections consist of a 1 NPT inlet and a 1 NPT outlet, with electrical connection via a 1/2" conduit opening.

Configuration Options

The CVCHS series is configured by selecting the number of elements (One), power rating in kW, terminal enclosure type, and voltage. The standard configuration includes:

• Housing Material: CPVC pipe body.
• Sheath Material: INCOLOY sheath elements.
• Enclosure Rating: General Purpose Terminal Enclosure (Code E1).
• Voltage Suffixes: Model numbers include voltage designations such as -120V or -240V.

The model number guide follows the format: CVCHS - <Number of Elements> - <kW> - <Terminal Enclosure>. For example, a 1.5 kW unit at 120V is designated as CVCHS-01-01P5-E1-120V.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series differ primarily by power output and physical dimensions, which correlate with the kW rating. Lower wattage models (1.5 kW and 2 kW) share a smaller footprint (A: 17 5/16", B: 12"), while higher wattage models (2.5 kW and 3 kW) utilize a larger housing (A: 21 5/16", B: 16"). All listed variants feature one heating element, a General Purpose terminal enclosure, and are available in both 120V and 240V single-phase configurations.
